The Move Up Assembly is an exciting time for each class to move up to the next class! Students entered the gym to what most would say was LOUD music, but to the students it was hip! Each student sat in their old section from last year with the freshman and senior section left empty. The freshman were then lead through a human alley to take their places on the bleachers. The teachers and staff then had the students "move up" to their new locations as Mr. Dan Pollock, the new high school principal and others gave motivational speeches and cheered!
Bearcat was there as well and he led the students in some chants and cheers to really get their heart pumping! Go Bearcats!! Beat the Dragons!
Eleven new teachers were recognized and the students cheered and clapped. Each sports team coach was introduced and more electricity filled the air! What a great way to introduce everyone and get ready to beat the Dragons! The Bearcat football team has been working hard and do they have some surprises up their sleeves for the cheering fans!!!!!
Congratulations Seniors! This year will fly by very fast!
The 2013-2014 school year has officially started so hang on to your hats you are in for a fantastic ride of a lifetime!

Pics for Pets Scholarship- This is a scholarship designed to advertise the animals at the animals shelters in your area for people that are looking to adopt. By submitting a photo of an animal that is currently adoptable, you are entered to win a $4,000 scholarship.
Requirements for the scholarship:
Visit an animal shelter to take pictures of their pets.
Upload each photo to the DoSomething.org Pics for Pets gallery to be entered to win a $4,000 scholarship.
Over half of the pets that enter shelters are euthanized. One reason they don't get adopted is because of bad online photos. Shelters cannot afford the advertising and high quality photos needed to get their beautiful animals in front of people looking to adopt.
No minimum GPA or essay is required for this scholarship.
The deadline is Friday, August 23, 2013.
