Dexter, Missouri- The Regional Healthcare Foundation has announced a scholarship for non-traditional students entering a healthcare field. The Regional Healthcare Foundation offers $500-$2500 scholarships to non-traditional students entering a healthcare field.
The student must be a resident of Stoddard County or a graduate of a Stoddard County high school. Our definition of a non-traditional is “a student twenty-five years of age or older who has had their education interrupted for at least five years.”
Requirements for the scholarship are listed below:
1) Write an essay of at least 400 words (typed)
-Please write about the time since you ended your formal education. Include work experiences, relationship experiences, life experiences and future plans.
-Do you meet our non-traditional student definition? (top of page)
-Have you or are you currently receiving assistance from the Regional Healthcare Foundation? What type of assistance?
2) Submit two letters of reference excluding family members. Reference examples would include employer, teacher, minister, etc.)
Applications are available by contacting the Regional Healthcare Foundation in Dexter. If you meet those qualifications please complete the application and mail to REGIONAL HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION, 215 W. GRANT, DEXTER, MO 63841. The application must be postmarked by August 23, 2013.
*Students may reapply for this scholarship if the degree/certificate requires more than one year for completion. A new application with grades or transcript must be submitted to Regional Healthcare Foundation before additional funding will be considered.
