McTeacher's A Success for Central 3rd Grade

Dexter, MO -
The Central Elementary teachers were on hand at the local McDonald's restaurant for the McTeacher's event.  The event invited family, relatives and friends to have dinner at McDonald's to help raise money for the 3rd grade rooms for activities.

Smiles filled the room as a crowd gathered to support the event.  The teachers originally were slated to help behind the counters and at the drive-thru, but due to health department rules were put in the counter area to meet and greet their students.

The McTeacher's event is sponsored by the local McDonald's Restaurant and offered a percentage of all sales between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to the classrooms.

"It was a lot of fun for all of us," commented Heather Waddle, a third grade teacher at Central.  "This had been done before but it has been a while.  A few of us just got together and thought it would be fun."

These teachers have been busy working to improve our schools.  Recently, this group of teachers gathered on a Saturday to paint playground equipment and make the play area of Central a little more fun.

The Dexter community is fortunate to have a strong school district that is committed to our young people.  Many times seen as a cornerstone to a community, many residents live in Dexter so their children can attend the Dexter Public Schools.

But a school is just brick and mortar without the commitment of caring, dedicated individuals that work hard to make certain our children receive a quality education.  We salute the enthusiasm and hard work of these and other teachers that go the extra step to make education fun.

The teachers of the Third Grade Hallway would like to thank McDonald's for allowing them to participate in the McTeacher's event and for the $400.00 donation to their projects.
