60th Anniversary of Love

On August 19, 2022 Tom and Carmen Love of Dexter will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

Tom Love and the former Carmen Hulehan were married August 19, 1962, at the First Baptist Church of Sikeston, Missouri.  The couple began dating in college at the University of Missouri - Columbia after being introduced by a mutual friend, Francie Thorn.  The couple enjoyed their college days at MIZZOU and remain lifelong fans of the Tigers.

The wedding was a true family affair with the bride's uncle Homer Lee Stallings Jr. performing the ceremony.  Brothers, sisters and friends composed the wedding party.

The couple spent their honeymoon at the luxurious resort and spa in beautiful Van Buren, Missouri, with their first meal together as newlyweds at the famous Jolly Cone.

After their marriage, Tom entered the Marine Corp and was stationed in Quantico, Virginia, Pensacola, Florida, Milton, Florida and Beaufort, South Carolina.  Upon the completion of his military service, the couple returned with their young family to southeast Missouri and Tom began his career as an agricultural lender.  

After their children were of school age, Carmen returned to work as a grade school teacher at Bernie Public Schools.  She retired after 33 years of teaching.  

They are the parents of two daughters, Tommie R. Love Moellering, and son-in-law Rob Moellering of St. Louis, Tracy Love Hedrick of Dexter, and one son-in-law, Alan Hedrick.  They also have four grandchildren, Zach Hedrick (Erin) and Morgan Hedrick (Tamela) and Nathan Durfee (Rabia) and Matthew Durfee (Molly), two great grandchildren are Russell Thomas Hedrick and Evelyn Love Hedrick.

The children of Dr. Neal W. and Lavern (Capps) Garner happily announce their parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Neal and Lavern were married on July 30, 1972 in Dexter, Missouri at the First Christian Church by Stan Land.

They have been blessed with two children; Brant and Marisa (Kelly Yohn).

Neal is a retired family physician and enjoys his time fishing.

Lavern is a retired elementary school teacher and keeps herself busy by working in the flowers and quilting.

They both enjoy traveling to Florida.

Jordan Elizabeth Ellenburg and Spencer Michael Zoller were united in Marriage on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Rusted Route Farms in Jackson, Missouri.

Officiating the ceremony was Brother Tim Ingle.

Jordan is the daughter of Allan and Tommie Ellenburg of Bernie.  She is the granddaughter of Phil and Penny Dawson and Lois Floyd.

Spencer is the son of steve and Brooke Zoller of Florissant, Missouri.  he is the grandson of Jerry and Karen Zoller.

Madis of Honor were Sarah Ellenburg and Ern Thoeni.  Bridesmaids were Lindsey Young, Lindsey Padgett, and Jamie Mooneyham.

Serving as best man was Braden Zoller.  Groomsmen were Drew May, Cory Canterbury, Caleb Ellenburg, and Joshua Ellenburg.

The ushers were Jake Young and Dawson Hill, cousins of the bride.

The ring bearer and flower girls were Aiden Ingle and Caroline dawson, pastor's son and cousin of the bride.

Guest book attendants were Shelby and Ryle Dawson, cousins of the bride.

Photographers were Zach and Rosalie Marion and the videographer was Jordan Robbins.

The bride is a graduate of Bernie High School and Missouri State University - Springfield.  Jordan obtained her BSN RN degree and works for Mercy Hospital in neonatal intensive care unit.

The groom is a graduate of Living World Christian School and Missouri State University - Springfield where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.  He works for Sunset Transportation in the logistics department.

The couple reside in St. Charles, Missouri.

Congratulations Jordan and Spencer and many year of happiness!

Jonas and Jo Noe of Dexter, MO and Luke and Kaci Below of Advance, MO announce the engagement of their children, Hannah Elizabeth Noe and William “Lane” Below.

Hannah Noe is a 2014 graduate of Dexter High School in Dexter, MO. 

She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO in 2017, where she was a member of the women’s Redhawk Basketball team.  She also completed a year of her Master’s Degree at the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN where she was a member of the women’s Purple Aces Basketball team.

Lane Below is a 2014 graduate of Advance High School in Advance, MO.

He is a 2016 graduate of Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, MO, where he was a member of the Raiders Basketball team.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Oxford, MS in 2018, where he was a member of the Rebels Basketball team.  Below is currently a Graduate Assistant with the Ole Miss Basketball Program in Oxford, MS.

A wedding ceremony will be held on December 1, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau, MO.
