
The Dexter High School Baseball team honored their five seniors with a special senior night on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at East City Park.
Nolan Alford is the son of Bobby and Angela Alford.
He has been a Bearcat Baseball player all four years of high school.
His future plans are to go to Evangel University and play football while pursuing a degree in Business.
Nolan's favorite memory from high school baseball was beating Notre Dame his junior year.
His words of advice to future Bearcat baseball players is to always try to be your best version and enjoy the process.

Cooper Buchanan is the son of James and Dana Buchanan. He has been a member of the Bearcat baseball team all four years of high school.
His future plans are to attend the North American Lineman training Center.
Cooper's favorite memory from high school baseball was hitting a walk-off against Portageville this year.
Words of advice to future Bearcat baseball players is to work hard every day and become your best version while having fun.

The 2025 Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) Jr. High Baseball Tournament seeds and bracket have been announced.
The Dexter Bearcats have earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Puxico Indians, #3 Advance Hornets, #4 Bernie Mules, #5 Bloomfield Wildcats, #6 Richland Rebels, and #7 Woodland Cardinals.
Dexter received a bye for the first round, but will play on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Bernie will play Bloomfield at Dexter on Saturday, May 3rd at noon.
Puxico will play Woodland at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Puxico and Advance will play Richland also at Puxico at noon on Saturday, May 3rd.
Dexter will host the winner of the Bernie/Bloomfield game at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd.
The winners of the other two games will play each other at 2 p.m. at Puxico.
Third place game will be at the higher seed on Monday, May 5th at 4 p.m.
Championship will be also on Monday, May 5th at 6 p.m. at the higher seed.

The Dexter Bearcats had yet another great day golfing in southeast Missouri. They played in the Dragon Invitational at Ste. Genevieve. There were 21 teams and 108 golfers.
The Bearcats shot 321, finishing 18 strokes ahead of the filed to take first place as a team.
Ben Christian was the medalist at 73. Tucker Temples earned third with a 77 and Banks Nesselrodt was 6th with a 79.
Carter Stone got his first 18 hole round in and contributed a 92. Will Guethle rounded out the team with a 93.
The weather was awesome, but course conditions were a little tough.
"Great to see the boys play though it," stated golf coach Shawn Guethle.
