
The Dexter Girls Tennis Team traveled to Kennett on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Kennett defeated the Cats 8-1.
"We lost 1-8, but I was super proud of Kinley Kennedy for getting our one win," commented head Lady Cats Tennis Coach Kristi Boles. "We sometimes go down feeling beat before we ever get there."
"I am hoping others start believing in themselves and follow in her footsteps next time we play Kennett," continued Boles. "I feel like we are better than we played today, but I did see some great rallies going on."

The Lady 'Cats take on Poplar Bluff, Monday, September 16th, Saxony Lutheran on September 17th and travel to Arcadia Valley on September 18th.

The Dexter Lady 'Cats tennis team hosted the Farmington Lady Knights on Monday, September 9, 2024. It was a tough loss 5-4.
"We are struggling a bit with our mental game right now," stated head tennis coach Kristi Boles. "We have to start believing in ourselves and figuring out how to finish a match."
"We have not had time to practice some of our problem areas due to having matches every day, but we hopefully will straighten some things out," continued Boles.
Kinley Kennedy earned a win for the Bearcats as well as Jalynn Proffer. In the doubles Dexter #2 and #3 teams defeated their opponents.

The Missouri Media High School Football Rankings have been released following Week #2 action and the Dexter Bearcats are now ranked #6 in Class 3.
"Pressure to maintain what we have going.......," commented Coach Chad Jamerson. "Pressure to make sure we stay humble!"

The girls varsity team will head to the Kennett Invitational Tournament on Friday, September 6th.

The Dexter Lady 'Cats volleyball team opened their season with a win on Tuesday night taking down Arcadia Valley 25-17, 25-23, 25-14 at the Bearcat Event Center.
Kate Nichols led the team with 10 digs and 9 kills and served two aces for the Bearcats. Calie White, Karis Kennedy and Mauriona Menley each had three aces. Liz Bolin had four blocks (three solo). Kennedy also had two block. Avery Riley had seven digs.
Dexter (1-0) will be back in action on Thursday when'd they travel to Jackson to take on the Indians. They will be back home next week on Monday hosting Stony Lutheran and then on Tuesday hosting Cape Central.
