MSHSAA Class 2, District 3 Girls Basketball Seeds Announced for District Tournament

The 2018-2019 Girls Basketball Season District Seeds have been announced by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA) for Class 1, District 3.

Seeds are as follows: #1 Oran, #2 Chaffee, #3 St. Vincent, #4 Puxico, #5 Meadow Heights, #6 Bloomfield, and #7 Advance.

Regular Season Records (at time of seeding meeting):

Oran (17-5)

Chaffee (14-9)

St. Vincent (11-11)

Puxico (7-12)

Meadow Heights (5-14)

Bloomfield (2-7)

Advance (3-18)

District Games will be played at Chaffee High School beginning February 16, 2019.

February 16th:

9:00 a.m. #2 Chaffee vs #7 Advance

11:30 a.m. #3 St. Vincent vs #6 Bloomfield

3:45 p.m. #4 Puxico vs #5 Meadow Heights

Semifinals will be at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on February 18th with the District Championship on February 21st at 6 p.m.

2019 DHS Wrestling Senior Night Featuring John Tucker

Dexter, Missouri - On Tuesday, February 5, 2019 the Dexter High School wrestlers honored their seniors at their last home meet of the season before starting District play on Friday and Saturday.

John Tucker is the son of Jonathan and Christy Tucker.

He has been a member of the Dexter High School Wrestling Team for two years.

John plans to attend welding school upon graduation in May.

His most memorable moment at Dexter High School were the overnight wrestling tournaments.

2019 DHS Wrestling Senior Night Featuring Hunter Lawrence

Dexter, Missouri - On Tuesday, February 5, 2019 the Dexter High School wrestlers honored their seniors at their last home meet of the season before starting District play on Friday and Saturday.

Hunter Lawrence is the son of Bud and June Lawrence.

He has been a member of the Dexter High School Wrestling Team for one year, the Football Team for three years, and the Track & Field Team for four years.

His future plans are to join the United States Army upon graduation.

His most memorable moment at Dexter High School were the naps on the long bus rides to the football games.

His most memorable moment at Dexter High School was the triple overtime victory against Ste. Genevieve in football.

Dawson Jones is the son of Rich and Jeannie Jones

He has been a member of the Dexter High School Wrestling Team for three years and the Baseball Team for three years.

His future plans are to attend Shawnee Community College and play baseball at the collegiate level.

His most memorable moment at Dexter High School was placing third place at the SEMO Conference meet his sophomore year.
