6th Annual Cross Country Invitational at Dexter High School on Saturday

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School will host their 6th annual cross country Invitational on Saturday, october 20,2018 beginning at the entrance of Charles Bland Stadium.

There will be 21 schools participating are Dexter, Bloomfield, Crystal City, Delta, Doniphan, East Carter, Fredericktown, Greenville, Kelly, Kennett, Leopold, Marquand-Zion, Meadow Heights, Richland, Scott City, South Iron, St. Paul Lutheran, Valle Catholic, Willow Springs, Woodland, and Zalma.

The course is a combination of flatland, hills, and wooded curves for a one lap 5K high school varsity and junior varsity teams.  The middle school/junior high races will feature a one lap 1.5 mile course.  All races will start and stop at the same place.

Start Times:

Middle School Boys 11:00 a.m.

Middle School Girls 11:20 a.m.

Junior Varsity Boys 11:40 a.m.

Junior Varsity Girls 12:10 p.m.

Varsity Boys 12:45 p.m.

Varsity Girls 1:15 p.m.

There will be twenty medals given out her high school race.  There will be fifteen medals given out per middle school race.  Each runner who medals will receive their medal at the nd of the chute.  The first place team from each race will receive a plaque.

The top four boys and top three girls in each division will be used to compute the team scores.

There will be full concession stand available!

Good luck to all the runners and come out and cheer or the cross country runners!

2018 DHS Fall Senior Night Featuring Taylor Watson

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School celebrated Fall Sports Senior Night on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Charles Bland Stadium.  There were 32 seniors featured on the field prior to the start of the Dexter Bearcats/Park Hills football game.  Dexter defeated Park Hills 13-7!

Taylor Watson is the son of Tim and Gina Watson.

She is a member of the Dexter High School Marching Band.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and become a Family Practitioner.

Her most memorable moment at DHS has been Mrs. Criders' 6th hour class.

2018 DHS Fall Senior Night Featuring Hannah Smith

Hannah Smith is the daughter of Delmar and Linda Smith.

She is a member of the Dexter High School Marching Band and the Cross Country Team.

Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University and earn a bachelors degree in Biology.  She would like to then further her education at University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) School of Optometry.

Her most memorable moment at DHS is when she accidentally wore her band shoes to 2nd hour and sprinted across the school to change them.  When doing so she turned the corner sharply and the teacher did not see her and hit her with the door leaving a giant bruise on her forehead.

She is a member of the Dexter High School Marching Band.

Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau where she plans to major in Performing Arts with an emphasis in dance.

Her most memorable moment will be when she crosses the stage at graduation and receives her high school diploma.

His most memorable moment at DHS is ...."the day I met Rylie Frizzell".
