Bearcat Duo Play in State Tennis Championship at Cooper Tennis Complex

Springfield, Missouri - Eric Hahn and Nate Gargas of Dexter felt the pressures of a state championship in the MSHSAA Class 1 Boys Tennis Championship at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.  They held their first-round foes to a pair of tiebreakers and then took the next opponents to a third set.

They lost both sets in the first round and dropped two of three sets in the consolation first round.

Kade Ockenfels and Creed Houghton, of Trenton, beat the Bearcat duo 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2) in the first round.

Francesco Bona and Luke Rehagen, of Boonville, beat Hahn/Gargas 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 on the consolation bracket in the double-elimination tournament.

The Dexter community is very proud of their efforts and we look forward to watching them play as seniors in the 2019 boys tennis season!
