ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Paige Moore

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Paige Moore.

Paige is a senior and a member of the Dexter Football cheer squad.

She is the daughter of Tisha Moore and Scott Moore.

Her grandparents include Kay Davison of Dexter, Missouri, Connie and Wayne Mays of Dexter, Missouri, and Sophie and Glen Harrison of Dexter, Missouri.

Moore is active in Foreign Language Club, FCCLA, DECA, Sr Beta Club, and National Honors Society.

She lettered in cheerleading and track and field three years. She also went to districts and sectionals her freshman, sophomore, and junior year and state her junior year. 

Her plans after graduation are to attend community college using her A+ Scholarship and pursue a career in neonatal nursing.

She attends Lighthouse Christian Center.

ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Bailee Williams

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Bailee Williams.

Bailee is a senior and #6  on the Dexter High School volleyball team.

She is the daughter of Casey and Steve Williams.

Her grandparent includes Cecily Harper of Dexter, Missouri.

She is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Teachers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Sr. Beta Club.

She was awarded her sophomore year 1st team All Conference, Academic All-Star DHS most assists, 2nd team All-Region. Her junior year she was awarded 1st team All-District, 1st team All-Region, Most DHS Assists (680), 1st team All-Conference, and Academic All State.

Her plans after graduation are to attend Arkansas State University and obtain a degree in Physical Therapy.

Outside of school, Bailee participated in WSSC for six years - club ball.

She enjoys varsity basketball cheerleading and hanging out with friends. 

Bailee attends Liberty Hill Church.

ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Blair Rogers

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Blair Rogers.

Blair is #22 on the High School volleyball team and is the daughter of Robin Northern and the late Aaron Rogers.

Her grandparents include Judy Prelan of Bernie, Missouri, and James Rogers of Bloomfield, Missouri.

She is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, FCCLA, Foreign Language Club, Student Council, Pep Club, and National Beta Club.

She was awarded Academic All-State for volleyball and All County for cheerleading.

She is a member of Top 10%.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri and earn a law degree.

Outside of school she has played club volleyball and enjoys hanging out with friends.

Blair attends First Baptist Church.

Dexter Drops to 4th in District Football Standings
The 2017 Week 8 District Standings in high school football have been released.  The Dexter Bearcats moved down to #4 with a 4-4 record.  They will play Malden Green Wave on Friday night.  It's Senior Night for the Bearcats and Breast Cancer Awareness Night.

Park Hills Central has earned the #1 spot with an 8-0 record.  They face Sikeston on Friday, October 13th.

Below are the current standings and who they will play on Friday night.

Poplar Bluff High School September Athletes of the Month Named
Poplar Bluff, Missouri - The Mules Booster Club has selected Hannah Vaughn and Makarius Bell of Poplar Bluff High School as the September Athletes of the Month, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Makarius, a senior, has made 58 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in six games this football season. In the classroom, he maintains an 8.31 GPA.

His coach, Mark Barousse, called him a “great kid” and the “strongest player on the team,” noting that Makarius was additionally named All-State in track and field last year, throwing the discus.

Hannah, also a senior, accumulated 26 aces, 42 kills, 332 assists and 59 digs this volleyball season. She has the most assists in a season with 677 and the most assists in a game with 39, plus ongoing records in serving attempts and career assists. In the classroom, she maintains an 11.2 GPA.

“Hannah is one of the best team players that I have ever coached,” stated Amanda Lance, volleyball coach. “She works extremely hard to keep her team focused and motivated to achieve success. She has been a huge asset to our program.”
