ShowMe Times Football Cheer Spotlight

Dexter, Missouri -
Rhylan Hillis is a sophomore at Dexter High School and is the daughter of Darren and Tory Hillis.

She has been a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, and Honors Choir.  She is also a member of NSSC volleyball team and Impact Cheer and has lettered in Basketball Cheer as well as Track & Field.  Rhylan is a Top 10% Student at DHS.

Her hobbies are cheer, choir, church, and golf.

Rhylan attend First Baptist Church in Dexter.

After completing high school she plans to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and cheer for the Mizzou Tigers!

Our Dexter Cheerleaders motivate our football team and Bearcat Fans each Friday night and we are very exciting to see them cheer in front of the home town crowd or at an away game!  We are very proud of them and glad they are on OUR team!

Their routines have many components including tumbling, jumps, cheers, stunts, and dance and they are there for us each and every game, rain or shine, hot or cold!!  We love our Bearcat cheerleaders!

Jason Comfort Presents Charles Bland Award
Dexter, Missouri - Jason Comfort presented the 22nd Charles Bland Award on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the annual Fall Sports Banquet.

Receiving the award was senior football player Mr. Tyler Stevenson.

Congratulations to Tyler Stevenson!!  He is the 22nd recipient of the Charles Bland Award!

Shown in the photo are Dexter Football Coach Justin Peden, Tyler, and Kay Stevenson.

Tyler is the son of Keith Stevenson and Kay Stevenson.

The Charles Bland Award was announced at the annual Fall Sports Banquet held on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

Lady Cats 8th Grade Team Takes Down Jackson

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter middle school 8th grade girls basketball team earned a terrific win over the Jackson Lady Indians on Tuesday evening.

Alexa Werneck recorded a game-high 33 points against the Indians.

Margo Nea added 21 points and Shea Baker tallied 10 points for the Lady Cats.

Dexter scored double digits in each of the four periods.  They jumped out to a 22 – 13 lead in the first quarter and by half-time were ahead by 11 points.

Dexter has three home games left in the season.  They host Poplar Bluff on Friday, November 10th at 6:00 p.m., Kennett on November 10th, and Sikeston on November 12th.

Final Score Dexter 72, Jackson 38

Jackson 7th Grade Indians Beat Dexter in Girls Basketball

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter middle school Lady Cats took a loss in the 7th grade contest with the Jackson Lady Indians. 

Sydney Asberry tallied a team-high 10 points for Dexter.

Karley Keirsey recorded 9 points and Mikayla Dodson added 7 points for the Cats. 

Madison Lambert finished with a game-high 19 points for Jackson.

The Lady Cats have three games left.  They host Poplar Bluff on Friday, November 6th at 6:00 p.m.  They then host Kennett on Tuesday, November 10th and Sikeston on Thursday, November 12th.
