Cape Girardeau, Missouri – What an amazing evening for the Southeast Missouri Redhawks at Houck Stadium in Cape Girardeau. With a crowd of over 7,000 people, the Redhawks seemed unstoppable against Missouri Baptist.
Southeast scored a record 77 points during the game and the highest they have ever scored in their NCAA Division 1 tenure. The last time they scored a record win was against Quincy in 2009 when they were victorious with a 72-3 win.
The Redhawks scored on their first possession and just kept scoring continuous over the next seven possessions! The crowd was stoked with each touchdown. They couldn’t have asked for a better opening home game in the history of the Southeast Redhawks! It just wasn’t in the cards for the Spartans tonight.
Southeast limited Missouri Baptist to just 81 yards all night accumulating three quarterback sacks.
SEMO will be back in action when they travel to Kansas on September 6th.
