Bloomfield High School to Host Chasing the Rainbow 5k

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield High School FBLA, FCCLA, Beta and Student Council organizations will be hosting a “Chasing the Rainbow” Color Run on May 10th at the Bloomfield City Park.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the run starts at 9:00 a.m. They will have both a 5k and a 3k run.  Pre-registration is strongly encouraged!!!  Entry fee is just $30 and if you pre-register before May 1st you will receive a t-shirt.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Bloomfield High School Office

The run is not a timed event...it's more about having fun and getting fit while supporting two great causes: The Sikeston Humane Society and 18 Fore Life.

Malden, Missouri - The Malden High School Baseball Invitational Tournament is this weekend, Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th.  There are nine teams competing:  Bernie, Malden, Advance, Holcomb, Portageville, Doniphan, Bloomfield, Cooter, and New Madrid.

Pool A:  Malden, Advance, and Holcomb

Pool B: Portageville, Doniphan, and Bloomfield

Pool C: Bernie, Cooter, and New Madrid

12:00 PM Cooter vs New Madrid
2:00 PM Malden vs Advance
4:00 PM Advance vs Holcomb
6:00 PM Malden vs Holcomb

Field 2

2:00 PM Bernie vs New Madrid
4:00 PM Portageville vs Bloomfield

After completion of games on Friday they will re-pool for Saturday’s play.  Admission is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students.

Dexter, Missouri - The T.S. Hill Middle School baseball team is having a great season despite some weather cancellations.

The team is coached by Cody Boyer and James Sneed.

7th Grade Team - Caleb Hoggard, Dawson Jones, Ethan Kincy, Travis Propst, Caleb Stearns, Corbin Strong, Luke Thurston, Matt Ward, and Tyler Wright.

8th Grade Team - Alex Bellers, Mason George, Seth Harris, Cordell Holt, Gabe Jackson, Trevor McDonald, Alexis Moore, Spencer Owens, Kris Rinhart, and Treton Willis.

Manager is Brad Freeman.

T.S. Hill Middle School Baseball Team Wins Invitational

Dexter, Missouri – Congratulations to the Dexter T.S. Hill Middle School baseball team.  They took first place in the Dexter Middle School Invitational Baseball Tournament held on Saturday, April 12th.

The East Prairie Eagles took second place.

The Middle School baseball team consists of Caleb Hoggard, Dawson Jones, Ethan Kincy, Travis Propst, Caleb Stearns, Corbin Strong, Luke Thurston, Matt Ward, Tyler Wright, Alex Bellers, Mason George, Seth Harris, Cordell Holt, Gabe Jackson, Trevor McDonald, Alexis Moore, Spencer Owens, Kris Rinhart, Treton Willis. 

Team Manager is Brad Freeman. 

Coaches are Cody Boyer and James Sneed.

Dexter Diamondbacks Earn First Place Win

Rector, Arkansas - The Dexter Diamondbacks, a 4th grade traveling baseball team, won the 2014 Rector Pre-Season Tournament in Rector, Arkansas this weekend.

The Diamondbacks played seven games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

They defeated Kennett's 10U team twice on Sunday back-to-back to win the championship game.  Congratulations to the Diamondbacks on a great performance at the plate!!
