Dexter, Missouri - Shannon Putnam's 1st Grade Class is hoping for a win tonight in Busch Stadium. They have their lucky Cardinal Red on. Dee Loflin, SMT Manager/Editor
St. Louis will play Game #6 tonight against the L.A. Dodgers. If they win, they earn another trip to the World Series. They lose, (we hope that doesn't happen) it's game #7 on Saturday night.

Team MAKendra Wins Again!

Sikeston, Missouri - Rain could not dampen the spirits of Team MAKendra with a one day postponement of Tuesdays Class 1 State Sectional, they just had another 24 hours to prepare for VICTORY!
Congratulations to Team MAKendra! MaKayla Waldner and Kendra Stevenson have earn their spot in the Doubles State Tennis Championship. They defeated North County's doubles team 7-6 (9-7), 6-0.

Waldner-Stevenson will play in Springfield at the Cooper Tennis Complex on Friday, October 24th and Saturday October 25th. We wish them the best and hope for a STATE TITLE!

District Tournament Seeds Released

Dexter, Missouri - District Tournament Seeds for the Class 3 District 1 Volleyball Tournament has been released. Tournament will be held at Notre Dame on October 28th and 29th.
The Lady 'Cats Volleyball team are ranked #3 with Perryville in the top seed and Notre Dame second. They will play Doniphan on Monday, October 28th at 6:45 p.m.
With a win a they will play the winner of the Notre Dame- Fredericktown game in the Semifinals on Tuesday, October 29th at 6:45 p.m. District Championship Game to be held also on Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m.

SCAA Tournament Semifinals Tonight in Bernie

Bernie, Missouri - In Tuesday's action at the Mule Barn, Bernie's volleyball team beat the Bloomfield Wildcats 25-17, 25-22 and the Advance Hornets eliminated Puxico 25-21, 25-23.Dee Loflin, SMT Manager/Editor
Tonight, top-seeded Dexter Lady Bearcats will play the Advance Lady Hornets at 7:00 p.m. and are expected to win the semifinals and advance to the finals on Friday night.
The Bernie JV Mules upset the Advance Hornets on Tuesday 15-25, 25-23, 25-18.
The Dexter JV Volleyball team will take on the Woodland Cardinals in the first semifinal scheduled at 5:00 p.m. The Bloomfield JV Wildcats will follow competing against the Bernie JV Lady Mules.
