Dexter, Missouri – Homecoming at Dexter High School is going to be BIG this year! There are several events being planned including a Tailgate Party sponsored by Regional Healthcare Foundation, a 5th Quarter street festival on Friday night after the game with music and food, a BBQ Cook-off sponsored by County Wide Insurance, a Car, Truck and Track Show sponsored by Allen Christian and hosted by Future Farmers of America and more to be announced as plans are solidified.
The first ever Bearcat ColorBurst Run has been added to the list of exciting events and will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 8:00 a.m.
What is the ColorBurst Run? It’s the greatest, most fantastic 5K you will ever participate in! It is a paint race in which participants are doused from head to toe in different colors of paint at designated distances of the run. They will continue the race until they cross the finish line where a gigantic “ColorBurst Finish Extravaganza” will take place using more colored powder to create lasting memories and colorful photos.
The newly formed Dexter High School Pep Club - The D Unit is sponsoring the Bearcat ColorBurst Run along with the First National Bank of Dexter.
This event will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 8:00 a.m. Show your Bearcat spirit as you cross the finish line with a kaleidoscope of colors proving your completion of this momentous first ever Bearcat ColorBurst 5K run!
This Run/Walk begins at Southwest Elementary and will encompass a route around all of the Dexter schools. Water will be provided along the route and at the end of the race. The Stoddard County Ambulance District will be on site just in case their services are needed. This is a FUN RUN, not a timed run!
Registration is $30 and if you register before September 20th you will receive a Bearcat ColorBurst Run t-shirt and a SWAG Bag! To register by mail, contact Judy Patterson at DHS, 1101 West Grant Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841. Make checks payable to Dexter High School.
