By Andrew Cato, ShowMe Times Sports Editor

After cramming over 620 games of basketball into five separate two-day events, the 2012 Rib City Shootout has come to a close.

The final weekend of the shootout, held July 20-21, featured 29 teams from four states, and crammed just under 90 games onto the courts of the Bearcat Event Center and the Dexter Middle School gymnasium.

The Lady Bearcats were well represented in the final weekend of the shootout, with teams competing in the varsity, junior varsity, and junior high levels.

Tournament organizer - and LBB head coach - Chad Allen noted the increased success of the three-year old basketball extravaganza, and said he looks forward to what next year's shootout will bring.
