James Robert Giffin, son of the late James and Beatrice (Walker) Giffin, was born on August 17, 1929, in Bordentown, New Jersey. He peacefully passed away on December 9, 2024, in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 95 years.
On May 25, 1985, James married Helen French in Republic, Missouri, sharing a loving partnership until her passing on March 11, 2019.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, James enjoyed a rich variety of hobbies, including golf, baseball, and flying his airplane. His faith was important to him, and he was attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.
James is survived by his children, Robert Giffin, Donald Giffin, Barbara Giffin-Cronan, Cindy Blasa, and Allen Gibbs, along with 15 grandchildren who carry forward his legacy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Helen, and a son, Harry Giffin
At this time, no further arrangements have been made. James will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his kind spirit and the love he shared with his family.

Gloria McRoberts went home to be with the Lord at the age of 83. Gloria Loetta “Tiny” McRoberts (Smith) was born in Formosa, Arkansas on March 17,1941. Gloria passed peacefully with her loving daughter and son by her side on November 25, 2024.
Gloria will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lisa Grissom (McRoberts) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by her son, Matthew McRoberts and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth McRoberts of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, McKenna McRoberts, Ethan McRoberts, Oliver McRoberts and Cora McRoberts of Dexter, Missouri, Cody Frederick and Morgan Frederick of Oran, Missouri and Rylee Grissom of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by three great grandchildren, Jazlyn Frederick, Anastyn Frederick and Emma Frederick of Oran, Missouri; along with all her nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Smith of Sikeston, Missouri; and by two sisters, Sharon Russom (Smith) of Essex, Missouri and Claudette Howell (Smith) of Taft, California.
Gloria was welcomed into heaven and reunited with her parents Claude and Cora Smith (Shipley); her brothers, Carroll Smith and Thomas Smith; and sister, Charlene Baker (Smith).
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Roy L. Poe Sr. son of the late Austin Poe and Mary Redding Poe was born on September 4, 1951, in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on December 13, 2024 at the Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 73.
Mr. Poe was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri and had worked as a plant manager for Monarch Feed Mill for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. For the last several years he enjoyed tinkering in his shop and gardening.
On June 19, 1971, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Diane Baird in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Poe survives of their home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Other than by his wife Cheryl Diane, he is survived by two sons, Roy Poe Jr. of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Austin Poe and wife Laura of Dexter, Missouri; by his daughter, Pamela Ogelvie and husband Mark of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother, Edgar Poe of Dexter, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Hayleigh E. Holland, Hank Poe, Cade Poe, Waylon Poe, and Griffin Poe.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Jessica Ann Poe; by his brother, Jim Poe; and by three sisters, Pansy Poe, Margo Trent, and Mary Thornburgh.
Dennis Leroy Rodgers, 82, of Wappapello, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1942, to the late John Rodgers and Freida Powell Rodgers.
Over the years he worked many jobs, but his love was the life he built with the military, that started in Vietnam where he served in the United States Navy on the USS Midway with the VA-23 squadron. He later joined the Missouri National Guard 1221st unit where he climbed the ranks until he retired as First Sergeant after 42 years. Dennis was a two war Veteran from both Vietnam and Desert Storm.
On October 4, 1974, in Dexter he married Bonnie Spurlin, and they started the journey of a blended family. They faced many challenges over the years between kids, jobs and deployments but they faced it all together and conquered all even when the odds were stacked against them.
In addition to his wife Bonnie of 50 years, he is survived by two sons, Dennis Rodgers II (Karen) of Dexter, Missouri, and Dean Rodgers of Festus, Missouri; by three daughters, Martha (Jay) Followell of Jackson, Missouri, Donna (John) Wiley of Puxico, Missouri, and Sharon Chism of Wappapello, Missouri; by his sister, Ocia Bryant, by ten grandchildren, Shawn, Nikki, Ashley, Paige, Shawna, Cheyenne, Logan, Bethany, Scott and Connor; by twenty great-grandchildren, Conner, Sylas, Kyler, Zeke, Evelyn, Samual, Amelia, Alex, Abby, Justin, Tristin, Emmitt, Ezra, Elliott, Elias, Alec, Amathyst, Bentley, Wyatt, Ivy and a great-great grandson due May 2025.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death, by his granddaughter, Shara; by his son-in-law, James Chism; by three brothers, Dean Rodgers, Roy Rodgers, and Jim Rodgers; and by three sisters, Rita Corlew, Laverne Snider, and Leta Jameson.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Daniel Rudolph "Dink" Schuchart Sr.," passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 83 at Prairie View Skilled Nursing in Bloomfield, Mo surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 25, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late Sylvester and Ella Schuchart (Heuiser). A resident of Bloomfield, Daniel was a dedicated member of the Republican Party, Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, The Associated Milk Producers, Inc. and a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Daniel graduated from St. Henry's High School in Charleston, Missouri, in 1959. Following his education, he served in the National Guard and was honorably discharged before transferring to the Army Reserves. During this time, he worked diligently on his family's farm in Salcedo, Missouri, often alongside his lifelong friend and cousin, Tom Howard.
On December 29,1978 Daniel married Deborah Lynne Hill at Saint Francis Xavier in Sikeston, Mo, with whom he shared a loving partnership. Together, they managed Dan Schuchart Dairy and raised four children. Daniel was known for his bravery, humor, and steadfast nature. He instilled values of respect, honesty, hard work, and care in his family, leaving a lasting legacy.
Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah, and their four children: Daniel R. Schuchart Jr. (Jamie), Diana Wamble (Mike), Kristin Jarrell (Juston), and Matthew Schuchart. He was a cherished grandfather to Wes Schuchart, Emma Wamble, Jaelyn Jarrell, Rhett Wamble, Macie Jarrell, Kinley Schuchart, Lyla Schuchart, and Brayden Cooper.
Daniel's life was a testament to hard work and family devotion. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his influence will continue to guide his family and friends.

Burial will be at Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
