
Rose Elizabeth Quade, daughter of the late Herbert Quade and Frieda Gerecke Quade, was born on August 4, 1934, in Gordonville, Missouri; and departed this life on May 2, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
Ms. Quade had worked for Purolator in Dexter, and she worked in maintenance at Tyson in Dexter for 25 years, until they closed in 2023. She attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.
She is survived by her sister, Maggie Carter of Watertown, South Dakota; by her friend, Jack Ray of Dexter, Missouri; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and eight sisters.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Walter Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Missouri.

Marlene Craft, daughter of the late Leon Craft and Flossie Turner Craft was born on November 10, 1961 in Dexter Missouri and departed this life on May 2, 2024 at her residence in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 62.
Marlene was retired but had worked several jobs throughout her life, including Arvin's as well as construction. She was also a member of the Corner Gospel Fellowship of Bernie, Missouri. Marlene enjoyed fishing, riding the back roads and just spending time with her family and friends.
Marlene is survived by two daughters, Christina Craft of Dexter, Missouri and Natalie Robison (Dinker) of Dexter, Missouri; by four brothers, Bill Craft of Bernie, Missouri, Danny Craft (Sherry) of Malden, Missouri, Robert Craft (Sheila) of Bernie, Missouri, and David Craft (Karen) of Dexter, Missouri; four sisters, Linda Strickland of Bernie, Missouri, Patricia Riddell (Charlie) of Campbell, Missouri, Marilyn Rushing of Dexter, Missouri, and Kayeela Sugg of Dexter, Missouri: four grandchildren Tyler Thornton, Peja Thornton, Levi Kestner and LeeOnnah Kestner.
Other than by her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Craft and Keith Craft; and one grandson, Taylor Thornton.
There will be a celebration of life conducted on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at 14008 County Road 403, Dexter Missouri. This event will be to celebrate Marlene's life, share laughs and stories. This event is open to anyone that would like to attend.

Velta Mouser, daughter of the late Rufus Roberts and Rosa Salyers Roberts, was born on February 23, 1935, and departed this life on May 1, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Mrs. Mouser had worked for Sports Specialties in Chaffee, Missouri, and Florsheim Shoe Company in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Sikeston and a resident of Dexter. She enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts while living at Cypress Point.
On February 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert Mouser. Mr. Mouser preceded her in death on August 20, 2013.
She is survived by her son, James White of Dexter, Missouri.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Roberts; and by two sisters, Violet Bruce, and Thelma Shelton.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Mouser officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.

Gary Wayne Stroup, son of Bill Stroup and Margaret Cobb Stroup of Dexter, Missouri, was born on September 11,1963 in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on April 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 60 years.
Mr. Stroup was a former employee of Nestle Purina in Bloomfield, Missouri. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Missouri, and was a resident of Dexter. He was a man of God; it was his life’s passion to minister and witness to others as well as share his God with them. He never met a stranger. He had the uncanny ability to connect with people on a deep level about God and all life related things. Goodness flowed from him and showed in how he loved and treated those around him.
On June 30, 2001, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Venessa Collins from Kansas City, Kansas. Venessa survives of their home in Dexter.
Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his sister, Kimberly Stroup Smith and husband Jimmy of Dexter, Missouri; by three nephews, Zachary Smith and Hannah Luetkemeyer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Seth Smith of Dexter, Missouri, and Noah Smith of Dexter, Missouri; by his niece, Cassie Kindzierski and husband Lance of Crestview, Florida; by three great nieces, Evelyn, Audrey Kindzierski and Kodi, by his great nephew Julien Kinderski; Erin and Rob Lunn of Dexter, Missouri, Zeke and Bella.
Visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 911 Brown Pilot Lane in Dexter Missouri on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow. Interment will follow in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Amber Nicole Smiley, daughter of Nick Smiley of Bernie, Missouri and the late Jane Smiley, was born on February 1, 1983 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 30, 2024 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 41.
Amber attended the Unity Full Gospel Church in Bernie, and was a resident of Bernie.
She is survived by her dad, Nick Smiley of Bernie, Missouri; by her brother, Michael Smiley and wife Amanda of Bernie, Missouri; by her sister, Catrina Hancock and husband Jeremy of Malden, Missouri; by her maternal grandmother, Norma Jean Haye; by several aunts and uncles; and by six nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Smiley.
A grave-side service will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bernie cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Rev. Eddie Champion officiating.
