Theoda Litzler, daughter of the late William “Bill” Williams and Lucy Williams was born in Stoddard County, Missouri on May 28, 1926, and went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023, in Woodstock, Virginia at the age of 97.
Mrs. Litzler retired as a clerk from the United States Postal Service. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She spent many hours praying for family and was the Prayer Warrior in our family! She enjoyed attending church, cooking, and working in her large garden.
The fondest memories she readily shared were from her childhood where she talked about the many hours working in the fields with her father.
She was united in marriage to James Grant Litzler on July 11, 1946, in Charleston, Missouri. She and Mr. Litzler shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Mr. Litzler preceded her in death on March 27, 2009. Together they raised three sons in their home in Dudley, Missouri: James Gary Litzler and Gina from Lebanon, Ohio “Mr. Litzler preceded his mother in death.” Richard Allen Litzler and Linda from Dexter, Missouri, and Myron Lynn Litzler and Donna from Stephens City, Virginia
Mrs. Litzler also had two brothers, Raymond Williams and James Williams both deceased as well as two sisters, Marie Allstun and Clorine Shipman both also deceased.
Mrs. Litzler is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed here on this Earth and is now rejoicing in Heaven with her loved ones who were waiting there for her!
