Dalton Austin Stewart of Puxico, Missouri son of Terry Lynn and Tina Lynn (Hendrix) Stewart, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 11, 1995, and passed away in Cape Girardeau on April 10, 2022, at the age of 26 years, 10 months and 10 days.
Dalton had lived in the Puxico area all of his life. He had worked in construction and farming. Dalton was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Mingo Tractor Club. He was an avid turkey, deer and duck hunter. He enjoyed being a mechanic, driving on gravel roads, four wheeling and fishing.
Surviving are his parents, Terry Lynn and Tina Lynn Stewart of Puxico; his fiancé Jamie Lynn Rodgers of Puxico; one brother Dylan Hunter Stewart Alexis Hays of Puxico; two daughters Fallon Grace Stewart of Puxico and Elise Hyslop of Bloomfield; one aunt Lisa Marie Stewart, one cousin Walker Ray Brawley. As well a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Carl Vernon and Wanda Stewart, one grandfather Jerry Ray Stewart, and by his grandparents Gary Lee and Patricia Ann Hendrix.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins And Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M at the Watkins And Sons Chapel in Puxico with Pastor Bill Pennington of Dexter Missouri and Will Davis of Puxico officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri with Watkins And Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
Judith Rimel, daughter of the late Edison Evans and Hallie Christine Baker Crutcher was born on February 17, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 12, 2022, at the New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care Center in Tomball, Texas at the age of 77.
Mrs. Rimel was a counselor with the Dexter Public Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and gave of her time to various roles at the Church.
On December 19, 1965, she was united in marriage to Charlie James Rimel in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Rimel preceded her in death on May 3, 2012.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher Rimel and wife Anna of Hockley, Texas, and Kevin Rimel; by one sister, Pat Miller-Williams of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Gabriel Rimel, Mae Rimel and Hayes Rimel.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Evans; and by two sisters, Betty Ann Mouser and Mary Pippins.
Visitation will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Lawman officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

James Darrell Miller of Puxico, Missouri, son of the late Eugene Arnold and Opal Elizabeth (Jenkins) Miller, was born in Dexter, Missouri, on August 27, 1937, and passed away on April 08, 2022, in Crystal City, Missouri, at the age of 84 years.
James was a long time member of Corinth General Baptist Church of Puxico, Missouri, where he served as a trustee of the church for 45 years. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. His work projects at McDonnell-Douglas in Saint Louis, Missouri, included assignment to construction of all thirteen Gemini spacecraft and F-4 Phantom fighter aircraft production. After returning to southeastern Missouri, he spent fourteen years working for Procter & Gamble. Upon his retirement, he pursued his passion for gardening. He also enjoyed the outdoors and deer hunting with his wife, Peggie (Bonnie) Miller. They were married on June 24, 1961, at Liberty Hill General Baptist Church in Aid, Missouri.
James is survived by his wife Peggie (Bonnie) Miller; two sons Darrell (Dyan) Miller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and James A (Denise) Miller of Saint Louis, Missouri; one daughter Carroll Miller-Simpson of Farmington, Missouri; five grandchildren Gina (Terry) Cody, Heather (Donnie) Simpson-Redmond, Katherine (Trey) Simpson-Danieley, Josiah Miller and Ezra MIller; four great grandchildren Crystal Boivin, Corbin Redmond, Miller Redmond and Raleigh Danieley; one brother Rodger (Linda) Miller of Puxico, Missouri; two sisters Nancy Foster of Festus, Missouri and Bertie (Archie) Foster of Festus, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Opal Miller; one son Jerry Dean Miller; two one sister and brother in law Doris and Frank Hoggard and one brother in law Eldon Foster. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Brother Jimmy Clark officiating.
Graveside services will immediately follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
Watkins and Sons of Puxico will be in charge of all arrangements.
Arvilla Dean Palmer, daughter of the late Ralph Murphy and Stacy Lorell Crabtree Murphy, was born on August 27, 1935, in Elk Township, Missouri, and departed this life on April 9, 2022, in Dexter, Missouri, where she was a resident, at the age of 86 years.
She was united in marriage on July 31, 1953, in Frank Clay, Missouri, to Rev. Willard Preston Palmer. This true partnership of love and devotion surpassed even Preston’s death on October 15, 2019. That same love and devotion was showered upon her family, especially her daughters, “son” and two much cherished grandsons.
Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker and pastor’s wife. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene throughout her life. Most recently First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter. In her early years Arvilla worked at a shoe factory, a hosiery factory, and a Quality Stamps store. Later she became a fulltime mom and pastor’s wife. Having a heart for missions and spreading the love for Jesus, she was the missionary president at most of the churches where they pastored. She served on multiple church boards. She planned and participated in many vacation bible schools, taught Sunday school, and was part of the women’s fellowship at the various churches. Throughout her life Arvilla was an example of what a true Christian should be.
She is survived by two daughters, Deana Sue Palmer of Olathe, Kansas, and Penny Danette Palmer Haughey and husband John of Olathe, Kansas; by two grandsons, William Jacob “Jake” Haughey, and Joshua Palmer Haughey also of Olathe, Kansas; by three brothers, Quincy Murphy of Dexter, Missouri, Gary Murphy of Bernie, Missouri, and Berry Don Murphy of Dexter, Missouri; and by her sister, Linda Sue Garner of Sikeston Missouri.
Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Alveta Aycock.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at the First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Gary Franklin Corlew, son of the late Rev. Doyle Corlew and Vera Blevins Corlew, was born on July 19, 1941, in Essex, Missouri, and departed this life on April 11, 2022, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.
Mr. Corlew was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam era. He was a former educator with the Dexter Public Schools in Dexter, Missouri, retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. Gary enjoyed painting, working Sudoku puzzles, and Diet Pepsi.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Bryant and husband Donald Clay Bryant of Advance, Missouri; by his brother David Corlew and wife Norma of Dexter, Missouri; and by four grandchildren, Erin Nelson, Samuel Nelson, Nathan Nelson, and Benjamin Nelson.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lana Corlew and Doylene Corlew.
Visitation will be held at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
A memorial service with full military honors will then be conducted at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
