In Memory of Darllis Sue Stevens

Darllis Sue Stevens of Dudley, Missouri born to the late Charlie and Janet (Sadler) Williams on December 20, 1957 in Advance, Missouri passed away October 4, 2021 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 63 years.

Darllis was of the Christian faith.  She was married to the love of her life Vernice Dean Stevens for 46 years.  Darllis was a bus driver for the Puxico Public School District. 

Survivors are her spouse Vernice Stevens; one son Nathan (Kaitlyn Anne) of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren; two brothers Charlie Williams of Memphis, Tennessee and Ronnie Williams of Mill Springs, Missouri; one sister Teresa Pronscinske of River Falls, Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by one son Curtis Dean Stevens and two brothers Donnie Williams and Bennie Joe Williams.  A host of family and friends also survive. 

 Visitation will be Saturday October 09, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri.

Memorial Service will be Saturday October 09, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri.

With Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Glenda Bell Martin was born October 24,1947 in the bootheel of Missouri and passed away September 27, 2021 in Springfield, Illinois. 

Glenda was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was united in marriage to Claude Martin Sr. on July 15, 1967.  He preceded his wife in death on December 27, 1996.

Survivors include two children, Sheryl Pfifer of Dexter, Missouri and Claude Martin Jr. & wife Maggie of Litchfield, Illinois; by two sisters, Sherrie Yates of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Debbie Asher & husband Vernon of Eldon, Missouri; by one brother, Chuck Gaskins & wife Shirlie of Bloomfield, Missouri; by eight grandchildren, Trinity Martin, Christopher Walls & wife Meghan, Cameron Walker & wife Amanda, Dusty Walker & wife Krystal, Hayley Walker, Felicia Willard & husband Dean, Harold Willard III, Morgan Connell & husband Brandon; by six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Isabella, Thomas and Adam Renalds, Aldean, Cian Connell.

She was preceded in death other than by her husband, by one daughter Tracie Willard; two sisters, Joyce Simms and Gloria Ring; by one brother, Frank Gaskins.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.   

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie. 

Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.  Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Robert C. “Bobby” Crow Jr

Robert C. “Bobby” Crow Jr., son of the late Robert C. Crow Sr. and Helen Cox Crow, was born on January 15, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on September 30, 2021, in Wappapello, Missouri, at the age of 63 years.

Mr. Crow was a former employee of Heartland Tool Works in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He is survived by four daughters, Shannon Smith of Dexter, Missouri, Stephanie Alequin of Crystal River, Florida, Amy Rose of Spring Hill, Florida, and Jenny Crow; by his son, Justin Crow; by two brothers, Phillip Crow and Terry Crow, both of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Donna Roberts of Bloomfield, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Triston Smith, Kyle Smith, and Emily Smith,

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Sean Crow.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.

In Memory of Benjamin Franklin Hayes

Benjamin Franklin Hayes, the son of Frank and Gail Rounsaville Hayes of Festus, was born on January 6, 1975, in Livingston, Montana and departed this life on October 2, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 46.

Benjamin was a resident of Crystal City, Missouri. He accepted Christ as his savior at the Bloomfield Assembly of God church. Benjamin loved to help people and loved Christian music, knowing many of the songs he listened to by heart.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Gail Hayes of Festus, Missouri; by his sister and brother-in-law, Jessica Beth Cole and husband Joffrey of Herculaneum, Missouri; by one niece, MacKenzie Hyde of Herculaneum, Missouri and by extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Cecelia Kathryn Capps of Advance, Missouri was born to the late Alfred and Lucille (Ritter) O'Bryant on September 07, 1942 in Buchanan, Michigan and passed away in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Tuesday, September 28th at the age of 79 years.

Kathryn was married to Joseph R Capps Sr. on October 21, 1960, they were happily married until his passing on January 22, 2012. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, reading, and doing puzzles.

Kathryn is survived by four sons: Joseph R. Capps Jr of Advance, Missouri, David R. Capps of Advance, Missouri, Johnathon (Amber) Capps of Jackson, Missouri and Joseph Daniel Capps of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; three daughters Linda (Todd) Anderson of Jackson, Missouri Teresa (Mark) Richardson of Summersville, Missouri and Patricia (Eddie) Thurman of Advance, Missouri; six grandchildren Hannah Capps, Courtney (Donald) Fairburn, Christopher (Danielle) Richardson, Bobby Richardson, Charlie Richardson and Kaitlyn Thurman; six great-grandchildren Madison, Bailey, Issac, Arla, Dameon and Tristan. She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, many beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by four brothers Donald (Marjean) O'Bryant, Michael O'Bryant (Helen of Elkhart, Indiana), Richard O'Bryant, and Alfred O’Bryant Jr.; and one sister, Rita O’Bryant.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
