In Memory of Lois Ladd

Lois Ladd, daughter of Jo Ann Duley Gibson of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Arden Smith, was born on May 31, 1964, in Sonoma, California, and departed this life on September 26, 2021, at St. Clair Hospital in Fenton, Missouri, at the age of 57 years.

Mrs. Ladd was a former driver for Hallcon. She had also worked for Roy Al’s 1-stop, Weekenders and Stanfields. She attended Dexter High School and graduated in 1982. She attended the Risen Church in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter. She loved reading, cooking, gardening, and talking with people, she never met a stranger. She was a devoted mother, she radiated love and kindness, and she never had a bad word to say about anyone.

On June 28, 1990, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Ladd. Mr. Ladd survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to her husband John and mother Jo Ann, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica Ladd of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother Daniel Smith of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two sisters, Lynn Fortner of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Kathy Cole of California, Missouri.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hagy Cemetery.

In Memory of Loreda Mae Janson

Loreda Mae Janson, daughter of the late Thurman Lestie O’Neal and Minnie Mossman O’Neal, was born on July 10, 1942, in Puxico, Missouri, and departed this life on September 26, 2021, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Janson was a former employee of Gateway Industries, working as a shoemaker. She loved reading, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On November 17, 1968, in Puxico, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Raymond Stanley Janson. Mr. Janson preceded her in death on April 16, 1988.

She is survived by three sons, Raymond Janson of Alton, Illinois, Jeffrey Janson (Cary Cobb) of Malden, Missouri, and Michael Janson (Tina Bennett) of Bloomfield, Missouri; by three daughters, Teresa Ann Sindelar of St. Louis, Missouri, Christina Janson (Steve Boyer) of Dexter, Missouri, and Deanna Seybold (Stephen) of Clarksville, Tennessee; by two brothers, Gene O’Neal and Russell O’Neal, both of Puxico, Missouri; by her sister, Helen Voss of Puxico, Missouri; by thirteen grandchildren, Derek Clark, Kimberly Scates, Ashley Post, Colby Reed, Austin Richardson, Sarah Risinger, Cory Janson, Kara Janson, Kristin Janson, Devon Mason, Ashley Fisher, Trevor Bennett, and Tesla Riddell; and by sixteen great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Gregory O’Neal; by her brother, Freeman O’Neal; and by four sisters, Virginia Spears, Shirley Bolin, Fernie Julius, and Lois Caldwell.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Clark officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery in Puxico.

Donald Enderton, son of the late Thomas Enderton and Pauline Thorne Enderton, was born on August 31, 1965, in Winterhaven, Florida, and departed this life on September 26, 2021, at his residence in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 56 years.

Mr. Enderton was a mechanic.

He is survived by his son, Donald Enderton Jr. of Bernie, Missouri; by four daughters, Misty Cecil of Malden, Missouri, Stephanie Enderton of Bernie, Missouri, Brandi Enderton of Bernie, Missouri, and Aubrie Passley of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by five brothers, Richard Enderton of Paragould, Arkansas, Thomas Enderton of Auburndale, Florida, James Enderton of Auburndale, Florida, Douglas Enderton, and Jason Enderton of Auburndale, Florida; and by seven grandchildren, Cielo Enderton, Justin Cecil, Skyler Walker, Donald Enderton III, Ellie Enderton, Jamie Betty, and Payton Passley.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

Linda Faye White, daughter of the late Hanley Tilley and Nina Foster Tilley, was born on October 11, 1949, in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life on September 25, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 71 years.

Mrs. White was a homemaker, a caretaker and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She attended the Bernie Church of Christ in Bernie, Missouri.

On January 15, 1965, in Bernie, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Roger Dale White. Mr. White preceded her in death on April 18, 2000.

She is survived by three sons, Edward Brian White and wife Paula of Dexter, Missouri, Tony Wade White and wife Pamela of Sparta, Illinois, and Richard White and wife Michelle of Dexter, Missouri; by her long-time companion, Bob Burroughs of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother, David Tilley of Dudley, Missouri; by three sisters, Donna Soderquist of Batavia, Illinois, Betty Amery of Elbourn, Illinois, and Virginia Rhodes of Bartlett, Illinois; and by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and father, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Blake White.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. with Stan Dauck officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

In Memory of Charles Ray Corlew

Charles Ray Corlew, son of Mary Litzler Corlew of Essex, Missouri, and the late Charles William Corlew, was born on July 24, 1965, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on September 24, 2021, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 56 years.

Mr. Corlew was a former employee of the Missouri Department of Transportation, working at the maintenance shed in Dexter.

On May 3, 1986, in Bernie, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Lisa Renee Smith. Mrs. Corlew survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife Lisa and mother Mary, he is survived by three sisters, Sandy McMullin and husband Glenn of Essex, Charlotte Stutts and husband Mark of Essex, and Jan Wheeler of Essex; by his mother-in-law, Jeanette Smith of Dexter; by his sister-in-law, Angie Smith of Dexter; and by several nieces and nephews.

Other than by his father Charles, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Joe Corlew and Rodney Corlew; and by his beloved miniature schnauzer’s, Jake and Kole.
