
LaVonda Fay Allen Cameron was born August 23, 1942 in Bernie, MO to the late Albert “Bud” and Lucille Pearl Losh Allen.
On May 12, 2021 at her residence, she was called home to be with her Savior, at the age of 78, after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who took great pride in her family and loved spending time with them.
LaVonda loved to love on people, always giving away hugs. She was a true sweetie. She was kind and welcoming to every person she encountered and never met a stranger.
On February 24, 1962 she was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Cameron. LaVonda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Cameron; one son Chad Cameron and Felecia; two daughters Angie Dugan and Allen and Debbie Stogsdill and Rodney; four grandchildren Sarah Cameron Defries and Jon, Alex Dugan, Gage and JohnPaul Stogsdill; two great granddaughters Sophie and Audrey Defries; one sister Bonnie Mills and Graydon; and by a lot of other caring family members and friends.
She was a member of St. Joe General Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the St. Joe General Baptist building fund at 17079 State Highway J, Bloomfield, Missouri 63825.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Visitation for family will be at 12:00 p.m. and public at 1:00 p.m. Celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Johnathan Rice and Bro. Brock Thornsbrough officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
