In Memory of June Mozell McMullin Miller

June Mozell McMullin Miller, youngest daughter of the late James Alberson and Laura Alice Marker Alberson, was born on May 19, 1926 in Big Ridge, Missouri and departed this life on February 11, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Miller was a former seamstress for Elder’s Manufacturing in Dexter, Missouri, retiring after 46 years of service.  After her retirement from Elder’s, she was a caretaker and she worked as a cook for Ruth’s Restaurant in Essex, where she was known for her dumplings and homemade pies.  She attended Harvest Assembly of God Church in Essex and was a resident of Essex.

On October 7, 1946, in Bernie, Missouri, she was first united in marriage to Clarence Richard McMullin.  Mr. McMullin preceded her in death on October 26, 1998.  On February 8, 2002, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was then united in marriage to Clarence Albert Miller.  Mr. Miller preceded her in death on December 18, 2014.

She is survived by her daughter, June (Jerry) Clay of Dexter; by two sons, Lynn (Darla) McMullin of Essex and Glenn (Sandy) McMullin of Essex; by fifteen grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Asberry, Jay (Beckie) McMullin, David (Kelley) McMullin, Amber (Ryan) Duley, Sonya Allen, Dana (Chris) Baldwin, Katie (Joe) Sells, Glenna (Blake) Couch, Josh McMullin, Heather McMullin House, Manny McMullin, Bryan McMullin, Jera (Jimmy) Lincoln, Matt (Sherry) Clay, and Brad (Stephanie) Clay; by thirty great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dale McMullin and by fourteen brothers and sisters, George, Josh, Jimmy, Arnold, Noah, Buddy, Pearl, Pauline, Della, Mary, Rose, Hattie, Bea and one infant sister.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. James Malloy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
