In Memory of Allen Levi Parsley

Allen Levi Parsley son of the late Donald Parsley and Mary Lou Vanscyoc Parsley, was born on September 4, 1949 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on January 11, 2020 at his residence in Puxico at the age of 70.

Mr. Parsley served as a deacon at Duck Creek Baptist Church where he was a member for many years.  He enjoyed working on tractors and was a member of the Mingo Tractor Club.  He never met a stranger, was always ready to listen, and loved sharing his faith.  He also enjoyed attending the grandkids events.

On June 7, 1969 he was united in marriage to Pamela Campbell in Puxico.  Mrs. Parsley survives of their home in Puxico.

Besides his wife, Pamela, he is survived by one son, Jimmy Parsley and wife Jennifer of Puxico; by one daughter, Jodi Walker and husband Johnny of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; by one daughter-in-law, Marcy Parsley of Puxico; by two brothers, Edward Parsley and William Parsley both of Puxico; by two sisters, Margie Franklin and Diane Hawthorne both of Puxico and by six grandchildren, Emma Parsley, Hunter Walker, Tommy Parsley, Jacey Kate Parsley, Mason Parsley and Jaylen Parsley.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jay Allen Parsley.

Friends may call at Duck Creek Baptist Church in Puxico on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duck Creek Baptist Church in Puxico with Rev. Dusty Stroud officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Duck Creek cemetery.

In Memory of Tommy Lee Pullum

Tommy Lee Pullum, son of the late Bill Pullum and Jessie White Pullum, was born on January 1, 1952 in Bernie, Missouri and departed this life on January 8, 2020 at his residence in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

Mr. Pullum was a former welder for Faurecia in Dexter, Missouri.

On December 8, 1972, in Essex, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Becky Williamson.  Mrs. Pullum survives of their home in Poplar Bluff.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stacy Lee Pullum and wife Tanya of Poplar Bluff and Chuck Pullum of Bloomfield; by his daughter, Emily Heuring and husband Darrell of Advance; by his brother, Bobby Joe Pullum of Essex; by his sister, Shelby O’Brien of Essex; by ten grandchildren, Dale Wert, Eli Wert, Sarrah Pullum, Stacia Pullum, Gracen Pullum, Emma Pullum, Tommy Pullum, Rachel Pullum, Rebecca Heuring and Nick Heuring; and by four great-grandchildren, Jaxson Pullum, Mattie Pullum, Brennan Pullum and Darin Andrew.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Jean Pullum in infancy.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Carter officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Rila “Tom” Thomas Fairchild

Rila “Tom” Thomas Fairchild, son of the late Orvial Fairchild and Hattie Pry Fairchild, was born on January 13, 1926 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 7, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 93 years.

Mr. Fairchild was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II.  He was a retired carpenter and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.

On August 25, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Masterson.  Tom and Mary were married for 74 years.  Mrs. Fairchild survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Libby Parks and husband Bill of Benton, Missouri; and by his grandson, Wade Parks of Quantico, Virginia.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; and by five sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Funeral Services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Reba W. Ward

Reba W. Ward of Jackson, daughter of late Freda Frank "Pete" and Ella Miller Brazel, was born in Dexter on March 28, 1932, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 10, 2020, at the age of  87 years, 9 months and 13 days.

She lived in Dexter most of her life and moved to Jackson four years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter. She had worked at Hamra's and Stovall's Department Stores and later was a rural mail carrier.

On November 17, 1951, she was married to James C. "Jack" Ward. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2000.

Surviving are two sons and wives, Rick & Lauri Ward of Haslet, Texas, Treye & Carol Ward of Fruitland, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Chuck and Shane Ward, a daughter, Judy Blackler and one brother, Jim Brazel.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, after 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time of services at 2:00 pm with the Bro.Skylor Guess of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas officiating. Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter will be in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Thomas Gregory Uht

Thomas Gregory "Greg" Uht, age 61, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away January 1, 2020. He entered this life December 9, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Jean Ann (Dillworth) Uht and George (GW) Walker.

He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Bobby Pullam.

Greg’s passion for the great outdoors brought on the craftsmanship of creating objects out of wood. With hands and heart, Greg worked in construction throughout his life. He delighted in the thrill of viewing drag races and airshows. It is said that Greg never met a stranger and was a master of making people laugh. He absolutely adored his grandkids and memories will live on in those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Uht of New Madrid, Missouri; daughter, Amy Brakhane of Galena, Missouri; grandkids: Tyler, Tori, Breanna, Paige, and Liam; mother, Jean Ann Burnett of Piedmont, Missouri; sister, Donna (Bill) Shelton of Piedmont, Missouri; brother, Ricky Uht of Bloomfield, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; and close friends.

A private memorial service will be planned at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
