
Elizabeth Ann Turner (Campbell), 76, Springfield MO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 3, 2019. She was born on November 7, 1942, in Sherman, TX, to Trenlin Campbell and Mary Morales-Moreno (Campbell).
Elizabeth graduated from Sherman (TX) High School in 1961 and married Clyde Turner on September 7, 1961. She moved to Springfield, MO in 1962 with her husband and later attended the Burge School of Nursing. Elizabeth was a nurse for forty-eight years in Texas, Illinois and Missouri, retiring in 2010, after working over twenty-seven years for Dr. Kobby Kobbermann. Elizabeth was a beautifully caring and compassionate woman who dearly loved being a nurse and believed it was God’s calling for her life.
Elizabeth was saved at the age of eighteen (Central Baptist Church – Sherman, TX) and was faithful in attending church until her health issues prevented her. Elizabeth enjoyed many activities such as cooking, gardening, rug hooking, watching her granddaughter play volleyball, her grandson wrestle, and spending time with her sisters.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Clyde Turner to whom she was married almost fifty-eight years; her son, Brent Turner and his wife, Ronna of Rogers, AR; grandchildren Regan Turner, Conway, AR and Jake Turner, Little Rock, AR; sisters, Joyce Lazo and husband, Douglas, of Lewisville, TX; Yvet Whitaker and husband, Chuck, of Springville, AL; Debbie Greenleaf of Dallas, TX; a brother, David Campbell of Sherman, TX; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Morales-Moreno; step-father, Ruben Moreno; father, Trenlin Campbell Sr.; sisters, Sherry Campbell, Judy Bodovsky, Sandra Burroughs; and brother, Trenlin Campbell Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 9, 2019 from 9-10 a.m., with a funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. at the Greenlawn Funeral Home (North), in Springfield, MO. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX, under the direction of the Waldo Funeral Home.

Larry Vernon Phillips, son of Wanda Teel Truax and the late Larry Loyd Phillips, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 7, 1957 and departed this life at Poplar Bluff, Missouri on September 3, 2019 at the age of 62.
Mr. Phillips had worked in construction and was a resident of Bernie, Missouri.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Truax of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Thad Eric Phillips & wife Shelby of Bernie, Missouri; by one daughter, Natosha Johnson & husband Joseph of Dexter, Missouri; by five sisters, Connie Anthony & husband Rick , Anita Barnes, Mary Alsup & husband Tony, Sheila Jackson & husband Gary, all of Dexter, Missouri and Sandy Bostic & husband Farrell of Aquila, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Hailey Phillips, Emily Phillips, Mark Preston Phillips, Evan Redmon and Ella Johnson; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his father; by one son in infancy, Mark Anthony Phillips; by two brothers, Dennis Phillips and Bryon Phillips.

Samantha Brooke Ratledge, 22 of Scott City, Missouri died Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Kentucky Lake. She was born November 12, 1996 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Gary “David” Ratledge II and Nikki Goodwin.
She was a waitress at The Keg in Murray, Kentucky. Sam graduated from Kelly High School in Benton, Missouri where she was a two-time first team All-State softball player in her sophomore and junior years and also achieved All-State track and field status in the long jump, the triple jump and the 4x1200 relay. From high school, Sam went on to Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Missouri, where she was a key member of the school’s softball team. She played two years and was outstanding, starting her freshman year when they won the regional tournament. That year Sam batted .340 with 32 hits including four doubles, four triples, a home run and 15 runs batted in. The following year, she batted .375 with 57 hits, including 13 doubles a triple and seven home runs with 33 runs batted in. She was an outstanding defensive player and could play anywhere.
After two years at MAC, Sam signed to play softball at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida in the fall of 2016. She returned home and was attending Murray State University, pursuing a degree in occupational safety and health.
Sam enjoyed sports and crafts as well as being mechanically inclined and a very hands on girl. She loved life, family, friends, playing pranks and gave it her all in every facet of life.
She is survived by her mother, Nikki Caldwell of Glenn Allen, Missouri; her father David (Rhonda) Ratledge of Scott City; a brother, Blaze Stephens of Glenn Allen; a sister, Brailey Ratledge of Scott City; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Karen Goodwin of Quincy, Illinois; paternal grandparents, Gary (Sharon) Ratledge of Benton, Missouri, Ronnie Burton of Sikeston, Missouri and Doris (Russ) Breymeyer of Benton; maternal aunts, uncles and cousins, J.D. (Krista) Goodwin and children Connor, Chloe, Blaine, Tyler and Isaac, Teresa (Ron) Hollis and children Courtney and Shannon, Troy (Tammi) Roberts and children Justin, Cherish and Gracie, Leslie Gallagher and Rob (Aime’e) Gallagher; paternal aunts, uncles and cousins, Tom (Amy) Ratledge and children Caleb, Isaac, Abbey and Megan, Shawna (Jamey) Kight and children Nicholas and Elizabeth as well as many more cousins and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carol Goodwin.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the Kelly High School in Benton.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday at the school with Revs. Michael Casteel and Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.

Mary Lou Scott, 81 of Puxico, Missouri died September 3, 2019 at the Dexter hospital.
Mrs. Scott was born November 3, 1938 to Euell and Ruby Page. They preceded her in death.
On May 16, 1958 she married Albert Scott, he survives.
Other survivors include one son Steve (Gina) Scott; One sister Dorothy Callahan and three grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 4 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Morgan Sifford funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Hill cemetery.

Daryl Lee Ramsey, 62, passed away in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on September 3. 2019.
He was born on December 28, 1957 to the late Gay (Murphy) and the late Randall Ramsey, of Parma, Missouri. He had two siblings, his twin sister Carol Ellen Ramsey (Creason) who passed away in 2009, and Richard Ramsey (Jane Ramsey) of Indian Wells, CA. He is survived by his nephew, Matthew Creason of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, aunts and uncles Betty (Ramsey) Spence of St. Louis, Missouri, Lucille (Ramsey) Bloess of Warsaw, Missouri; Wanda (Murphy) Hughes of Bernie, Missouri; Don Murphy of Dexter, Missouri; Judy (Murphy) Thrower of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Joyce (Murphy) Dunn of St. Charles, Missouri; Bob Murphy of Jefferson City, Missouri; and numerous Ramsey, Spence, Bloess and Murphy cousins.
Daryl attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a master gardener, an avid Cardinal baseball fan and lover of nature.
At his best, Daryl was a devoted, compassionate friend, son, brother and uncle with a kind word for everyone.
The family plans a private burial but asks that friends join them in a moment of silence on Saturday, September 7 at 11 am CST. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that a random act of kindness be performed in Daryl’s memory. A tree will be planted in his name at the Arbors of Auburn Creek where Daryl lived for the past year.
