Larry Vernon Phillips, son of Wanda Teel Truax and the late Larry Loyd Phillips, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 7, 1957 and departed this life at Poplar Bluff, Missouri on September 3, 2019 at the age of 62.

Mr. Phillips had worked in construction and was a resident of Bernie, Missouri.

Survivors include his mother, Wanda Truax of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Thad Eric Phillips & wife Shelby of Bernie, Missouri; by one daughter, Natosha Johnson & husband Joseph of Dexter, Missouri; by five sisters, Connie Anthony & husband Rick , Anita Barnes, Mary Alsup & husband Tony, Sheila Jackson & husband Gary, all of Dexter, Missouri and Sandy Bostic & husband Farrell of Aquila, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Hailey Phillips, Emily Phillips, Mark Preston Phillips, Evan Redmon and Ella Johnson; also by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death other than by his father; by one son in infancy, Mark Anthony Phillips;  by two brothers, Dennis Phillips and Bryon Phillips.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M.   

A Memorial Service will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gary Teel officiating.
