David Milton McFarland, 74 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019.
He was born June 3, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan.
David was an Army Veteran. He made his home in Paris, France and graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University. He worked for Royal Caribbean Lines and also played the piano for ten years at Hotel de Crillon.
A memorial celebration of life will take place in June.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Dawn LeeAnn Williams

Dawn LeeAnn Williams, 43 of Jackson, Missouri died March 20, 2019 in the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Williams was born August 12, 1975 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
She was district manager of the restaurant Taste of Cape.
She graduated high school in Puxico, Missouri in the class of 1993. She also graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in sociology.
She was generous even after death where her organ donation saved two lives and helped countless others.
She was married to Harold Williams, he survives.
Along with her husband she is survived by her father, Russell Hughes; one son, Nathaniel Williams; two daughters Paige Fitzpatrick And Genevieve Williams; two brothers Joe Hodges and Dustin Hodges; two sisters, Jennifer McCain and Bethany Hughes; One grandchild and a host of friends and extended family.
Proceeding in death is her mother, Merry Hughes and her brother Russell Hughes.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM March 25, 2019 in the Morgan Sifford funeral home in Puxico, Missouri and the funeral will immediately follow at 2:00 PM also at the funeral home with Reverend Johnny Ruedrich and Elder Harold Williams officiating.
Burial will be in the Dudley, Missouri cemetery.

In Memory of William Earl “Bill” Owens

William Earl “Bill” Owens, son of the late, Glenn Howard Owens and Ella Mae Gore Owens, was born in Dexter, Missouri on October 14, 1954 and departed this life at his daughter’s residence in Bernie, Missouri on March 23, 2019 at the age of 64.
Mr. Owens had been a mechanic during his life.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Earl Owens & wife Terra of Troup, Texas, Billy Wayne Owens & wife Ashley of Slater, Missouri and Robert Dale Owens of Marshall, Missouri; by three daughters, Kristie Mae Palmer & husband Jason of Bernie, Missouri, Deanna Chapin of Magnolia, Texas and Elizabeth Marie Owens of Eldon, Missouri; by twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by one sister, Glenda Whitney.
No services are being planned at this time. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Jackie Lynn Cowgur

Jackie Lynn Cowgur, 63, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away March 22, 2019, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born on October 11, 1955, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and was the son of William and Viola (Hardy) Cowgur.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Cowgur; mother, Viola Cowgur; sister, Margaret Abernathy; and two brothers, William Cowgur and Gene Cowgur.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Diane Cowgur of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Derek Lynn Cowgur and wife Marie of Joplin, Missouri; daughter, Nathalee Beth Burr of Piggott, Arkansas; step-daughter, Kenna Dennis of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Corey and Jaylynn; sisters, Doris McNair and Mary Walpole both of Bloomfield, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
Jack worked in the poultry business in the three state area. Jack's final assignment was with Peterson's Farm as Vice President of Operations. After his career, Jack sold cars for Autry Morlan in Dexter, Missouri, then he moved to Glen Sain Motors in Kennett, Missouri.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with a memorial services immediately following with Bro. Bob Fry officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

In Memory of Pauline “Pill” Gisi

Pauline “Pill” Gisi, daughter of the late Johnnie Warren and Lena Causey Warren, was born in Essex, Missouri on July 24, 1925 and departed this life on March 21, 2019 at Mulberry Manor in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 93 years.
Mrs. Gisi was a former employee of Stoddard County for 23 years; working in the recorder of deeds office. She was an active member of Hopewell General Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher, for many years. She loved watching her grandkids play sports and gardening.
On October 19, 1945, in Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Wilbert “Fib” Gisi. Mr. Gisi preceded her in death on August 10, 2014.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Gisi and wife Becky of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two daughters, Vicki Vaughn of Dexter, Missouri and Sherry Freeman and husband Harold of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Jennifer Barnes of Jackson, Missouri, Emily Carpenter and husband Ryan of Paragould, Arkansas, Brandon Vaughn and wife Christy of Dexter, Missouri and Jamie Vaughn of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and by six great-grandchildren, Lexie Barnes, Lauren Barnes, Cash Carpenter, Carly Ryan Carpenter, Brayden Vaughn and Mabree June Vaughn.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Oscel Warren; by one sister, Ruth Gisi; and by one son-in-law James Vaughn.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 11:30am until 2:00pm. Funeral Services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00pm with Rev. Steve Tippen and Rev. Rick Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63132-3253, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
