In Memory of Beatrice DeLay
Beatrice DeLay of Dexter, daughter of the late Louis Elmira and Betty Victoria Fletcher Summers, was born Acorn Ridge, Missouri on April 16,1937, passed away at her home in Dexter on January 21, 2019, at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Beatrice had lived in Bloomfield and Dexter all her life. She had worked for the Social Security Office as a secretary, she also attended the Church of Christ in Dexter..

Beatrice married Ralph DeLay on September 3,1960 in Avert Missouri.

She is survived three children, Victor (BeLinda) DeLay of Bloomfield, and Rick ( Amy) DeLay of Bloomfield, Missouri, one daughter Michelle ( Denny) Hubbard of Dexter, Missouri. She is survived by six grandchildren; Josh (Kasie) DeLay, Samantha (Derek) Ford, Courtney (Nathan) Aslin, Haliee Hubbard, Chelsea DeLay and Britney Hubbard. Three great grandchildren Sydney DeLay, Asher Ford, and DeLaney Aslin. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Nicole DeLay.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 after 12:00 p.m, until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Tucker officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hollis Cemetery in Acorn Ridge with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Mark Justin Owens, Jr
Mark Justin Owens, Jr., age 32, died January 13, 2019 in Potosi, Missouri.

He was born June 7, 1986 in Sikeston, Missouri to Mark Owens and the late Sandra Anette Moore Owens.  He had worked in construction with his father.

On July 26, 2012 at Charleston, Missouri, he married Kara Batchelor Owens, she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father and stepmother, Mark and Alana Cook Owens of Blodgett, Missouri; one son, Trevor Owens of Sikeston; two stepsons, Collin Anthony and Carson Anthony both of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Chase Owens of East Prairie; one sister, Sierra Owens of East Prairie; two nieces, Lillian Owens and Kensley Counts; four nephews, Reiland Owens, Larkin Owens, Draxton Owens, and Nikko Rendon.

Visitation were held Friday, January 18, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.  The Rev. Steve Vester, pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church, officiated.                 
Burial followed in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

In Memory of Sammy Alberson
Sammy Alberson, age 61, died January 11, 2019 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born June 26, 1957 in Sikeston to Estella Griffin Alberson of Sikeston and the late Samuel Alberson.  He had worked for Heartland Application Cattle Farm.

On September 14, 1973 at 1st Assembly of God in Vanduser, he married Jean Barrick Alberson, she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Tara Alberson of Oran, Deanna (Buddy) Scheible of Bloomfield, and Christina Alberson of Bell City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan (Jay) Kruger and Melissa (Steven) Hubbard all of Sikeston; and four grandchildren, Logan Alberson of Goreville, Illinois, Phillip Schaefer of Oran, Preston Wallace of Bell City, and Blaine Scheible of Bloomfield.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Keith Alberson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 14, at 1:00 p.m.  The Rev. Brian Gill, pastor of Perkins Baptist Church, will officiate.                  

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

In Memory of Mary Emma Wells
Mary Emma Wells of Puxico, daughter of the late Bland and Gertie Bell Menley Dennington, was born in Dexter, Missouri on June 1, 1922, passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico on January 17, 2019, at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 16 days.

Mary had lived in Poplar Bluff for fifty years before moving to Puxico in 2012. She enjoyed nursing home bingo, gardening, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family.

She was first married to Cecil McRoy and he preceded her in death in 1972. She then married Floyd Wells and he preceded her in death in 1992.

Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Miller of Puxico and Brenda Drowns of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Tippen of Puxico; one brother, James Dennington of Malden. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Dennington; and two sisters, Maxine Steward and June Patterson,

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 6:00 to 8 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Justin Miller of Puxico officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Louise Razer
Louise Razer, daughter of Winnie Harris Keith of St. Louis, Missouri and the late Henry Keith was born on December 1, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on January 17, 2019 at the SoutheastHealth of Stoddard County at the age of 72.

Mrs. Razer was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.  She had worked at Harps in Dexter and was a resident of Bloomfield.

On May 28, 1965 she was united in marriage to James Ervin Razer in Circle City, Missouri.  Mr. Razer survives of their home in Bloomfield.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Jamie Razer of Risco, Missouri; by four brothers, Dennis Keith, Billy Keith, Don Keith and Sartin Keith; by two sisters, Diane Sephaler and Dorothy Cable; by two grandchildren, Sabrina Roper and Tabetha Rudd and by three great-grandchildren, Amirra Roper, Stetson Pullum and Jacoby Hensley.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard “Sonny” Keith.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

A memorial service will then be conducted on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating.  

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
