In Memory of Chandler Conor Thompson
Chandler Conor Thompson, 6 months of age from Malden, Missouri, was born on February 20, 2018 to Jonathon Thompson and Ashley Smith in Kennett, Missouri.

He departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018. 

His survivors include:
Parents: Jonathon Thompson & Ashley Smith of Malden.
Brother: Colton Smith of Malden.
Grandparents: Ken Thompson & wife, Sandy of Malden, Anita Daniels of Sikeston and Mark McDonald of Bernie.
Great-grandmother: Peggy Thompson of Malden & Pat Taylor of Risco.
Great-grandfather: Larry Daniels of New Madrid.
Aunts: Michelle Thompson, Chasity Thompson & Carissa McDonald.
Uncle: Anthony Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather: Price P. Thompson and great-grandmother: Mary Sue Daniels.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 9-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Interment will be in the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden in charge of the arrangements.

In Memory of Harold Morrow
Harold Morrow of Dexter, son of the late Manual and Elizabeth Notra Snow Morrow, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 10, 1938, and passed away at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on September 16, 2018, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 6 days.

Harold moved to Dexter forty-five years ago from St. Louis. He had owned and operated a cleaning service and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

On March 1, 1958, he was married to Marlene Enders in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene Morrow of Dexter; one daughter and husband, Vera & Willie Bequette of Dexter; one son, Robert Morrow; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; beloved granddaughter, Aubrey Bequette of Dexter; beloved great grandson, Mylon Ballard of Dexter and his father, Joshua Ballard of Dexter; one sister and husband, Carol & George Hill of Buckner, Illinois; a very special friend, Gary Putnam of Dexter. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date.

In Memory of Thomas Jones
Thomas Jones, son of the late Albert Jones and Dorothy Atchison Young  was born on January 13, 1948 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on September 16, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 70.

Mr. Jones was a welder in commercial construction and was a resident of Dexter.

He was survived by two sons, Bruce Lee Jones of Birmingham, Alabama and Joshua Jones of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by one daughter, Michelle Fortner of Kinder, Missouri; by one brother, Ronald Young of Dexter, Missouri; by three sisters, Mary (Wayde) Wilkerson of Florida, Barbara Groves of Arkansas and Patsy Rogers of Lowndes, Missouri; by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale Jones, Albert Jones and Jackie Jones; by three sisters, Shirley McAnally, Betty Cox and Debra Metcalf.

Friends may call at the Community Church of Christ in Lowndes, Missouri on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. 

Services will be conducted at 12:00 noon at the Community Church of Christ in Lowndes on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with Rev. Dale Jones officiating.

Interment will follow at the Community Church of Christ Cemetery in Lowndes.

In Memory of Wayne Jackson
Wayne Jackson, son of the late George Thomas Jackson and Mattie Posiey Jackson was born on October 19, 1933 in New Madrid, Missouri and departed this life on September 9, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 84. 

Mr. Jackson was a former Auto Parts Salesman. He was retired from the Division of Employment Security after 30 years of service. Mr. Jackson was a Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Essex Naval Ship. He played on the Morehouse High Basketball team, was a 45-year member of the Elks Lodge where he served as Exalted Ruler for three terms, and was the District Deputy from 1990-1991. 

He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Wyrick on May 30, 1952 in Morehouse, Missouri. Mrs. Jackson preceded him in death on March 18, 2016.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Jackson (Susan) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Gary Jackson (Shelia) of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Iva Gipford (Bill) and Nina Jackson, by 7 grandchildren, Brandi Reyna, Becky Moore, Travis Jackson, Corey Jackson, Ashlee Jackson, Nichole Clippard and Dwaun Thiele; by 13 great-grandchildren, Daniel Petty, Skylar Jackson, Adrianna Jackson, Hilary Moore, Kaitlynn Moore, Anasten Jackson, William Jackson, Nora Jackson, Brendin Thiele, Adrian Thiele, Addison, Kate and John Clippard.

Besides his parents, and his wife Jo Ann, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Roosevelt Jackson, William “Jack” Jackson, Harvey Jackson, Jessie Jackson, Claude Jackson, and Donald Jackson; by one sister, Mary Tate and one infant sister.

Friends may call Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.

In Memory of Doris Bowman
Doris Bowman, daughter of the late Dee Ves Griffin and Corene Horn Griffin was born on May 9, 1945 in Dudley, Missouri and departed this life on September 7, 2018 at the Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

On October 16, 1971 she was united in marriage to Benton Keith Bowman in Bernie, Missouri.  Mr. Bowman survives of the home in Garland, Texas.

Mrs. Bowman was a former head Data Entry Manager for IBM, was a lover of all animals, and loved to shop.  She was a former resident of Stoddard County, Missouri and was currently residing in Garland, Texas.

Besides her husband, survives include one daughter, Alexa Pryor of Dallas, Texas and by one son, Todd Bowman; by six grandchildren, Meagan Pryor, Holly Pryor, Courtney Pryor, Asher Bowman, Ronan Bowman, and Danella Bowman; by three great-granddaughters, Scoutt, Charley, and Carter; four brothers, Dee Gene Griffin, Dorman Griffin, Doyle Griffin, and Dale Griffin; by two sisters, Dorothy Burks and Donnis Barker; also by many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Delma Williams, one brother, LB Williams sister-in-law, Rayma Griffin; and a nephew Darrel Burks.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday September 11, 2018. 

Graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bernie Cemetery with Rev. Dean Williams officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
