Alfred Coleman, son of the late Robert Clint and Georgia W. Russell Coleman, was born in Dexter on January 15, 1926, and passed away at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on June 13, 2018, at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 29 days.

Alfred had lived in Dexter all of his life, worked as a carpenter and built many homes in the area.

On June 21, 1944, he married Dorothy McCormick in Piggott, Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Coleman of Dexter; two daughters, Connie Smith and Janet Conner both of Dexter; two sons and wife, J. W. Coleman and Keith (Vanita) Coleman all of Dexter, four grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Hillary Mercier, Katie Coleman and Gage Coleman all of Dexter; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Logan; one sister, Callie Tuthill of North Stonington, Connecticutt. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, J. B. , Joe, Elvis and Thelbert Coleman, one sister, Pauline Kamplain.

Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will be at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Lonnie Lee Mallory of Canton, Mississippi, son of the late Melvin and Irene Runyon Mallory, was born in Dudley, Missouri on August 31, 1947, passed away in Canton, Mississippi on June 11, 2018, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Lonnie was raised in Dudley and spent twenty-one years in the U. S. Air Force, and was a resident of Canton, Mississippi. He had served in the U. S. Air Force as an Electronic Warfare Technician. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being outdoors working in the yard and drinking coffee.

On June 4, 1967, he married Alta L. Thrasher.

Surviving are his wife, Alta Mallory of Canton, Mississippi; one daughter, Renee (Tommy) Stallings of Canton, Mississippi; one son, Brian (Jennifer) Mallory of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren; four brothers, Mac Mallory, Donald (Nellie) Mallory all of Dexter, James (Melissa) Mallory of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Kenneth (Leyda) Mallory of Mary Esther, Florida; two sisters, June (Jimmy) Teets of Dexter and Ruth (Ken) Tippen of Bloomfield. Numerous relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel, Duane, Charles, Gerald and Dennis Mallory and one sister, Irma Crank.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

Neal Evans Boyd, of Sikeston, died on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his home in Sikeston. He was 42 years old.

He was born November 18, 1975, in Sikeston, to Michael Boyd Sr. of Sun Valley, Calif., and Esther (Rogers) Boyd, of Sikeston

He was a 1994 graduate of Sikeston Sr. High School, and in 2001 he graduated from both Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri at Columbia, and later a graduate of the University of Phoenix. He was nationally-known musician and politician, as well as a former secondary-school educator.

He is survived by his brother Michael Rogers-Boyd Jr. and his wife Dawn of Ste. Genevieve, his nephews Xavier Boyd and Isaac Boyd, and niece Harlee Boyd -- all of Ste. Genevieve.

He is proceeded in death by his nephews Michael “Tripp” Boyd III, and Trace Boyd of Ste. Genevieve, his grandparents Bill “Willie” Boyd and Girtharee “Sweetie” Boyd of Meridian, Miss., and Howard and Dorothy Rogers of Meridian, Miss.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donald Gregory Edwards, son of the late Charles Edwards and Mary Magdalene Stirgel Edwards was born on July 16, 1957 in Flint, Michigan and departed this life on June 10, 2018 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 60 years.

Mr. Edwards moved to Bloomfield, Mo when he was very small and spent all his life there.  Don worked for Purolator Products for 20 years.  Then he owned and operated his own business E & E Contracting and E & E Tree Service.  He loved working hard and pleasing people.  In 1980 he gave his heart to the Lord and loved the Lord with all his big heart.  He was always giving and helping people and was a member of the Living Water Church in Bloomfield.

On June 25, 1983 he was united in marriage to Linda Bostic in Bloomfield, Mo.  Mrs. Edwards resides of the home in Bloomfield.

Survivors include; one daughter, Heather Shepherd (Shane) of Jackson, Mo; two brothers, Richard Edwards (Diane) of Bowling Green, Ky and Dean Edwards of St. Louis, Mo; by one sister, Brenda (David) of Columbia, Mo; by two grandchildren, Sophia and Leo.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Edwards; one sister, Alice Harris and grandparents, Eva and Elmer Edwards.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
