In Memory of Jimmie Adams
Jimmie Adams, son of the late Frank Adams and Edith Seawright Mayberry was born on June 7, 1941 in Culp, Arkansas and departed this life on April 3, 2018 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Adams had worked for a saw mill business and was a former resident of Bloomfield, Mo.

He is survived by, one sister, Betty Welch of Bloomfield; by two brothers, Edward Adams of Malden, Mo and Larry Cook of Bloomfield, Mo.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Adams.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dwight Hensley and Jerry Cooper officiating.  Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Bob Tilley
Robert "Bob" Tilley, the son of the late John Henry and Vivie Drye Tilley, was born in Cleveland, Arkansas on May 22, 1948, and passed away at his home in Bloomfield, Missouri on April 3, 2018, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 12 days.

He had lived in St. Louis and near Essex before moving to Bloomfield in 1992. He retired as a truck driver and mechanic and also a farm worker. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends and working on Race Cars.

On July 6, 2001, he was married to Patricia M. Toombs in Wickliff, Kentucky.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Tilley of Bloomfield; three sons, Chris Lutman of Malden, Carl Lutman of Sikeston; Scott Tilley of Bloomfield; two daughters, Kelly Friedrich and Carla McGowen both of Bloomfield; two stepsons, Harvey Lee Gaskins, Jr. of Karnac, Illinois, Stacey Gene Gaskins of Lebanon; four stepdaughters Connie Stigall of Wickliff, Kentucky Shelia Brewer of Wyatt; Teresa Box of Cairo, Illinois, Jerry Lee Summers of Sikeston; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Hopkins of Bloomfield, Gale Bess of Dexter; five brothers, J. W. Tilley of Bloomfield, Kenneth Tilley of Van Buren, Larry Tilley of Essex, Dale Tilley of Morehouse, and William Merrick of Detroit, Michigan. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl "Pete", Gerald "Shorty" and Charles "Tinker" Tilley; four sisters, Maxine Robey, Floy Jean Robey, Lula Jackson and Lenora Bost.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Rick Breeden of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Jerry LeRoy Johnson
Jerry LeRoy Johnson, son of the late Arlie Johnson and Ethel Short Johnson was born on December 19, 1938 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on April 2, 2018 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Johnson was the former Chief of Police in Bloomfield, Missouri and worked security at the Mingo Job Corp.  He attended Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.  He enjoyed fishing, setting and watching the birds, watching the horses at the farm and visiting with people when he drove for Bloomfield Transit.

On September 20, 2013, he was united in marriage to Paula Busby in Bloomfield.  Paula resides of the home in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Johnson; by one son, Kenneth D. Johnson (Kimberly) of Bloomfield; by one daughter, Kimberly Mae Sherfield (David) of Essex; by three step-daughters, Kimberly Scheffer (Paul) of Jackson, Garilin Duley (John) of Dexter and Sheri Rickel of Dexter; by one brother, James “Buzz” Johnson of St. Louis; by two sisters, Norma Garcia and Theresa Johnson both of St. Louis; by seven grandchildren, Kellie Fuwell (Ed) of Bloomfield, Kenneth Johnson, Jr. of Bloomfield, Kory Johnson (Tracy) of Advance, Kristopher Johnson (Holly) of Bloomfield, April Gensler of Grayridge, Joshua Sherfield (LaVonda) of Grayridge, Joseph Sherfield (Robyn) of Idalia; by five step-grandchildren, Jordan Mangrum (James) of Advance, Jessica Maddox of Oran, Dustin Rickel, Dalton Rickel and Alannah Duley all of Dexter; by twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rudy Johnson.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Berry and Rev. Sue Welborn officiating.

In Memory of Lucas Warren Moore
Lucas Warren Moore, 36, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 28, 1981 to Daniel and Shelley (Sizemore) Moore in Poplar Bluff, MO. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 2000 and Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville in 2008 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He spent a semester during his senior year studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic.  During that semester he was able to visit 11 countries across Europe.  Lucas taught college English in China in 2009 and 2010.   In 2012 he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with a certificate in Culinary Arts.

He enjoyed cooking, BBQ competitions, sports, reading, and traveling.  In 2012 he was a member of the winning Polar Bear Classic Championship team at the Poplar Bluff Municipal Golf Course.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and making people laugh.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Daniel and Shelley Moore; three siblings, Leigh (Jason) Morgan, Zac Moore and girlfriend, Jamie Shelton, Lane (Darren) Summers; Fiancée, Kelly Holcomb and daughter, Madison Holcomb; nieces and nephew, Alec Green, CoCo Raymer, Danni Raymer, Sybil Summers, and one niece on the way, all of Poplar Bluff, MO.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Frances Sizemore and Ernest and Betty Moore.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
The family will hold a private service and burial.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

In Memory of Julie Ann Lewis
Julie Ann Lewis, daughter of the late Charles M. Jones and Helen W. Bowen Jones was born on March 12, 1958 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on March 26, 2018 at her residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 60 years.

Mrs. Lewis was an employee of Critter Stuff in Sikeston, Missouri and made pet clothing.  She was a member of the Missouri Stream Team 1380 for 20 years.

On June 6, 1975 she was united in marriage to Randy Lewis in Sikeston, Missouri.  Mr. Lewis survives of the home in Bloomfield.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Lewis of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one son, Bradley Lewis of Farmington, Missouri; by two daughters, Elizabeth Cox of Sikeston, Missouri and Brandye Watson of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one brother, Jack-Lee Beckwith of Ormond Beach, Florida; by two sisters, Janeen Britt of Van Buren, Missouri and Karen Grubbs of Bloomfield, Missouri; by twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the St. Joe Baptist Church in Idalia, Missouri on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at the St. Joe Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kathy Medlin officiating. Interment will be at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
