Dale Lee Parks, son of the late Gene Parks and Wanda Hyslop Parks was born on May 9, 1947 and departed this life on March 1, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 70.

Dale was the former owner of Faye’s Bakery for 31 years. Dale enjoyed shuttling his grandchildren, restoring older automobiles, was active in various car clubs and car shows.

He was united in marriage to Debbie Lay on December 22, 1989 in Bloomfield. Mrs. Parks survives of their residence in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Lee and his wife Melissa Parks of Cape Girardeau, Tyler Pullum and Travis Pullum both of Dexter; by two daughters, Sherry Gibson of Jackson, Whitney Parks of Dexter; by one sister, Jeannie Lantz of Coal Valley, Illinois, by grandchildren, Ben Williams and wife Kayla of Jackson, Rebecca Williams of Jackson, Tristin Pullum of Dexter, Tara Pullum of Dexter, Elliott Parks of Cape Girardeau, Houser Pullum of Poplar Bluff; by two great grandchildren, Jasmine and Drake Williams of Jackson; by three beloved cats, Stripes, Black and Piper of the home. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; by one son, Alex Parks; by two sisters, Lisa Coleman and Kathy Johnson.

Friends may call Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 12:00 (Noon) to 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Earnest Junior Simmons, son of the late Earnest C. and Ora Lee Grimes Simmons, was born in Essex, Missouri on October 1, 1927, and passed away at the Eagle Crest Nursing Home in Ash Flat, Arkansas on February 28, 2018, at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 27 days.

He had worked as a dairy farmer and lived in the Essex area until moving to Arkansas in 2006. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed talking and visiting with friends and the military personnel.

Surviving are three sisters, Ruby Fletcher of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Shirley Triplett of Marion, Illinois and Geraldine Gist of Cherokee Village, Arkansas. Many  nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Thelma, Anna Lee and Alpha Omega and Alice.

Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2018, after 12:00 p.m. at the Dexter Church of Christ in Dexter until time for services at 1:00 p.m. at the Dexter Church of Christ  with Kevin Lawrence of Gideon Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Debby Ann McCutchen, of Bloomfield, MO, unexpectedly died on February 20, 2018 at SouthEast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO. She was 63 years old.

She was born as Debra Ann Fulkerson on December 25, 1954 in Dexter, MO. Debby was raised by Clyde and Opal Henson in Bloomfield, MO. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1973. She spent the majority of her life in Washington State, living in both Chehalis, WA and Seattle, WA, near her son, daughter, and granddaughters. She notably worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle WA for many years. In 2013, Debby returned to Bloomfield, MO.

Debby loved to sew, bake, and spend time with her family, friends, and little dog, Lucy. She was an amazing and loving mother, nana, and friend.

Debby is survived by her daughter, Becky Decker of Maple Valley, WA; her son, Ted Fulkerson of Dexter, MO; her granddaughters, Hallee and Zoie Decker of Maple Valley, WA; her family member, Peggy Henson of Dexter, MO; her significant other, Gary Ross of Bloomfield, MO; her sister, Connie Rau of Otisville, MI; her brother Doyle Fulkerson, of Florida; and her dog, Lucy of Bloomfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Fulkerson.

Her family will be privately celebrating her life by spreading her ashes at Long Beach, WA in March.

Satellite Beach, FL - Jerome Dale Hulehan, 79, died Feb. 23, 2018, at his home. 

Born Dec. 14, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late Horace and Deloma Hulehan, he graduated from Sikeston, Mo., High School in 1956 and received his master’s degree from the University of Missouri.

After graduation, he spent 25 years serving his country with distinction with the U.S. Department of State, Foreign Services. His assignments were in Brazil, Uruguay, Kenya, France and Jamaica. He then started his second career as a psychotherapist until his retirement.

Survivors include: four sisters, Carmen Hulehan Love (Tom) of Dexter, Mo., Sandy Hulehan and Rita Hulehan Chapman (Mark) of Pensacola and Connie Hulehan Garcia of Deland; one brother, Wayne Hulehan of Alexandria, Va.; his dear friend, Shahin Torabi; his dog and best friend, Izaak; and four nephews, three nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonita Hulehan Johnson and Glenda Gale Hulehan; and his wife, Janet Wall Hulehan.

Jerome will always be remembered for his love of his family and enjoying his “peaceful” years enjoying his retirement in Florida.
