In Memory of Bob Wallace
Bob Wallace of Puxico, son of the late Robert Lee and Sweetie M. Miller Wallace, was born on January 9, 1935, in Fisk, Missouri and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on November 3, 2017, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 25 days.

He had lived in St. Louis and worked as an electrical engineer before returning to Puxico. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two sons & daughter in law, Robert Wallace, Matthew & Jeriann Wallace all of Puxico; one daughter & son in law, Jennifer & Scott Bowling of Puxico; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother & sister in law, Ronald & Cheryl Wallace of Jefferson City, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edward Wallace and a sister Rosalie Dickey.

Friends may call on Monday, November 6, 2017, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico until time of services at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Keith Sandlin of Poplar Bluff officiating.

Interment will follow at the Ash Hill Cemetery near Fisk, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Donald Lee
Donald Wayne Lee, son of the late Charlie Milton Lee and Virginia Vivian Chase Lee was born on February 11, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan and departed this life on November 1, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Medical Center at the age of 70.

Mr. Lee was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart.  

He formerly worked as a laborer in the Construction business and was a resident of Dudley, Missouri.

Survivors include, one daughter, Serena Cavaner of Sturdivant, Missouri; by one brother, Charles Edward Lee of Missouri; by one grandson, Bryson Cavaner.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. 

Services will be conducted on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

In Memory of Julia York
Julia Aline York, daughter of the late Edwin A. Wooley and Lillie M. Tite Wooley was born on March 14, 1915 in Dudley, Missouri and departed this life on October 28, 2017 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 102.

Julia had worked for General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan as an assembler and attended Dudley Church of God in Dudley, Missouri.

On December 24, 1935, she was united in marriage to Buster Bill York in Dexter, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on May 28, 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Dinah King of Swartz Creek, Michigan; by one brother, Robert Moore of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Five Brothers, and Five Sisters.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Metcalf and Rev. Josh Hester officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.

In Memory of Jimmy Chafin, Sr.
Jimmy Glenn Chafin Sr. of Grayridge, son of George Namon Chafin and the late Frances Loetta Pennington Chafin, was born in Grayridge, Missouri on August 4, 1960, and passed away at his home in Grayridge on October 30, 2017, at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 26 days.

Jimmy had lived in the Grayridge area all his life. He had worked wire manufacturing at Alan Wire. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and family.

On October 31, 2013, he was married to Barbara Kay Hill in Grayridge, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Chafin of Grayridge; his father, George Chafin of Starkville, Mississippi: three sons, Jimmy Glenn Chafin Jr. of Qulin, Missouri, Adam Michael and Joshua David Chafin of Grayridge; three daughters & spouses, Maggie Alena  & Gary Driskell Jr. of Metamora, Illinois; Jessica Marie & Drew Hickson of Dexter, Olivia Lynn Chafin of Grayridge; three grandchildren and one on the way; Ameal Chafin, Zachary Chafin, Faith Driskell, all of Metamora Illinois; one brother and wife, Mike & Faye Chafin of Rogers, Arkansas; and one sister & husband,
Cindi & Glenn Oakley of Starkville, Mississippi. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother Loetta and two grandchildren; Bradley & Brandon Chafin. 

Friends may call on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dudley Hamilton of Morehouse, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Serena Smith
Serena Smith, daughter of Donald and Frances Brayton Faris of Dexter, was born on December 16, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on October 27, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 46.

Mrs. Smith was a manager at the Dexter Subway, she was of the Pentecost faith and a resident of Dexter.

On June 13, 1992 she was united in marriage to Richard Smith.

Besides her parents she is survived by two daughters, Keely Smith and Merena Smith both of Dexter and by two grandchildren, Gracie Gee of Dexter and Kylie Shemwell of Saint Charles, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. Lewis Brayton and Nellie Brayton and her paternal grandparents, Rev. Paul Faris and Dorothy Faris.

Friends may call at the Lighthouse Christian Center on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. (Noon). 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. in the Lighthouse Christian Center with Rev. Tim Russell and Rev. Reida Brayton officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
