Arthur "Art" Dykes, Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of the late Arthur LeRoy, Sr. and Ethel Fay Buffington Dykes, was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 29,1961 and passed away on February 2, 2017, at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis, at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 28 days.
Arthur had lived in Poplar Bluff since the 1990's. He was a diesel mechanic and had worked at Duckett Truck Center in Poplar Bluff. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On September 4, 1995, he was married to Norma Smith in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Dykes of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Emily Dykes of Poplar Bluff; four sons, Arthur L. Dykes, V, Joseph Dykes and Noah Dykes all of Poplar Bluff, Michael Hatcher of Highland Heights, Kentucky; two grandchildren; and one sister, Teresa Froese of Kansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be day, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Barbara Jean Hill Whitehead, daughter of the late Dave Burnett and Bernice Orton Burnett was born in Gideon, Missouri on August 21, 1938 and departed this life in the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri on February 17, 2017 at the age of 78.
Mrs. Whitehead was a Homemaker and was a resident of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Roy Hill. He preceded his wife in death.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Carter of Dexter, Missouri; six daughters, Rosa Lee Wimberly & Barbara Lee Wimberly both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sally Sue Crutchfield, Wanda Jean of the State of Indiana, Helen Carter of Gideon, Missouri and Kathy Carter of Oklahoma City, Olahoma; one brother, Darrell Wayne Burnett of Jefferson City, Missouri; three sisters, Patsy Burnett of Cabot, Arkansas, Connie Smith of Malden, Missouri and Jackie Ferguson of Dexter, Missouri; by numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by one son, Danny Ray Hill, by two brothers, David Junior Burnett and Bobby Lee Burnett; by three sisters, Goldie Ann Burnett, Anita Kay Burnett and Lalie Burnett.

Larry Watkins, son of the late George Watkins and Goldie Fortner Watkins DePriest was born on May 4, 1945 in Bloomfield, Missouri and departed this life on February 11, 2017 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 71.
He was the owner of Larry’s Vikings Club in Dexter, the owner of Watkin’s Plumbing, was a former Alderman in Dexter Ward 3 for 17 years and a resident of Dexter.
Survived by two daughters, Paula Foss (Knut) of Knutsvik, Norway and Tammy Aaron of Millersville, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Brandon Foss, Karsten Foss, Brandi Duncan, Lora Schumer, Jesse Aaron and Rickelle Aaron; by eight great-grandchildren; by one brother, George Watkins, Jr of Bloomfield, Missouri.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Watkins and Paul David Watkins; by his step-father, William (Bill) DePriest.

Kelly Brian Stroder, son of the late Brian Zettie Stroder and Mary Stella Lubbers Stroder was born on June 14, 1942 in Laflin, Missouri and passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 74.
Mr. Stroder was a Veteran of the United States Army, a former Construction Foreman for Ameren Missouri and was a resident of Dexter.
Survivors include two sons, Parrish Todd Stroder and Blake Alan Stroder, both of Dexter; by two grandchildren, Joshua Todd Stroder of Cape Girardeau and Blake Ryan Stroder of Poplar Bluff; by three nieces and three nephews; and also by his dog, Chance and horse Trigger.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin Stroder, Marshall Stroder and Jackie Stroder.

Warren Gordon Orr, son of the late Raymond Francis Orr and Hazel Stevens Orr was born on December 26, 1940 in Dudley, Missouri and departed this life on February 14, 2017 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 76 years.
Mr. Orr was a former truck driver for Holden Pallet Company and Morgan Recycling Company in Dexter. He played baseball for Fisk High School and Dudley Buffalos where he was a power hitting first baseman. Gordon had a lifelong love of cars, competing in demo derby’s, driving stock cars, and restoring old vehicles. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing everyday with friends and family.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Brown on December 27, 1987 in Dudley, Missouri. Mrs. Orr resides at the home in Fisk.
Besides his wife, he is survived by, two sons, Kevin Orr (Ruth Ann) of Cape Girardeau and Kim Orr of Doniphan; two daughters, Johnnie Morgan (Larry) of Kennett and Robin Morris (Charles) of Portageville; by six grandchildren, Heath Orr (Ashley), Meghan Anderson, Elizabeth Orr, Lindsay Woods (Theron), Kaitlin Orr and Garrett Orr; four great-grandchildren, Natalie Orr, Aiden Anderson, Lucas Woods and Presley Woods.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
