In Memory of Lucille Nelson

Lucille Nelson, daughter of the late Joy Brown and Anna Blanche Fearn Brown was born December 10, 1933 at Bernie and departed this life on January 25, 2017 at her residence in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 83.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and was a member of the Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Vern Nelson on December 20, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Nelson preceded her in death on April 8, 2009.

Her survivors include, one daughter, Sonja Mays (Ronald) of Bernie; two brothers, Evert Ralph Brown and Clifford Ray Brown both of Bernie; by one grandson, Derek Mays of Bernie; one great-granddaughter, Kinley Frields.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Grace Louise Asbell.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted at Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

 In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital @ 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 or Stoddard County Children’s Home @ PO Box 164, Dexter MO  63841.

In Memory of Thomas Wilson

Revised Obituary of Thomas Wilson, son of the late Miles Wilson, Jr and Helen Forrest Wilson was born on July 11, 1965 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life in the Emergency Room at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 51.

Mr. Wilson was a Sales/Finance Manager at Brown Automotive and a member of the Risen Church in Dexter, Missouri.

He was united in marriage on June 18, 2005 to Melanie Jones in Washington, Missouri.  She survives of the home in Dexter, Missouri.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Cody Wilson and Zachary Wilson of Dexter, Missouri and Miles Wilson of Puxico, Missouri; by four daughters, Logan Shults, Ryleigh Wilson, Madison Wilson and Presley Wilson all of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, Miles Wilson of Fenton, Missouri; by four sisters, Marsha Bird of Sullivan, Missouri, Sandy Miller of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Karen Abernathy and Tina Wilson of Dexter, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Miles and Porter Wilson of Puxico, Missouri and McKenleigh Wilson of Dexter, Missouri; and two expectant grandchildren, Gracelyn Shults and Aubree Wilson.

Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Services will be conducted at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jeff Roth and Chuck Clark officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request all memorials be made to the Thomas Wilson Memorial Fund.  Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home.

In Memory of Charles Gromer

Charles D. Gromer, son of the late Ernest Gromer and Addie Mason Gromer, was born on January 31, 1938, and departed this life on December 17, 2016, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78.
    

He served in the Missouri National Guard, was an employee at W.W. Wood Products in Dudley, Missouri, and a current resident of Jackson, Missouri, formally of Dexter.  

He was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Gromer on October 29, 1965, in Dexter, Missouri, and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2013.

Survivors include, one son, Timothy Dale Gromer (Suanne) of Jackson, Missouri; by two daughters - Tammy Dale Six (Johnny) of New Madrid, Missouri, and Tracey Diane Gromer of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers - Allen Gromer (Norma Jean) of Union, Missouri and Cecil Gromer (Margaret) of Columbia, Missouri; by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers - Howard Gromer, Alva Gromer, and Harold Gromer; by four sisters - Mary Gromer, Virgie Allen, Annie Pruitt, and Dorothy Edwards.

A memorial service, with dinner following, will be on February 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri.

In Memory of Charles Bowman

Charles E. Bowman, 72 of Advance, Missouri died January 20th, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 12, 1944 in Dexter, Missouri to Charles and Dorothy Bowman. His father, preceded him in death.

He served proudly in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.

He was married to Dorothy Bowman, she also proceeded him in death.

He maintain gainful employment in the petroleum industry as he worked in the oil fields for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Bowman; six brothers, Jimmy, Harold, Tommy, Kenny, Richard and Roger; One sister, Mary Watson; and three stepsons, Wayne Montgomery, Frankie Montgomery and Louis Montgomery.

Along with his father he was preceded in death by two brothers Danny Bowman and Marvin Bowman and two sisters, Lennie Montgomery and Vivian Gregory.

Interment will be in the Missouri veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at a later date.
