In Memory of Jesse Barnes

In Memory of Jesse Barnes

Jesse Barnes, son of the late Ervin Barnes and Ola Santhuff Barnes was born on December 29, 1938 in Redford, Missouri and departed this life on January 21, 2017 at the John J. Pershing Veterans Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

Mr. Barnes was a Veteran of the United States Army, former employee of Amax and Ozark Lead Company, and a resident of Piedmont, Missouri.

On June 26, 1968, he was united in marriage to Gladys Goodson in Redford, Missouri.  Mrs. Barnes preceded him in death on March 10, 2010.

Survivors include four sons, Darrell Barnes (Amber) of Essex, Missouri, Gary Reed (Elizabeth) of Piedmont, Missouri, Gerald Douglas Reed of Pacific, Missouri, and Jesse Brian Barnes of Dexter; by one brother, Herman Barnes of Ellington, Missouri; by two sisters, Betty Loyd of Redford, Missouri and Bobbi Garza of Ellington, Missouri; by his girlfriend, Debbie Pressedee; also by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Barnes.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2017.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

In Memory of Michelle Durham

Michelle Barbara Durham, daughter of Edward Wojdyla of McKeesport, Pennsylvania and the late Dorothy Wisniewski Amoroso was born on July 19, 1964 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and departed this life on January 22, 2017 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 52.

Mrs. Durham was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.  She was retired from Elder’s Manufacturing and was a resident of Dexter. She loved being a grandmother to her five grandchildren.

On March 10, 1988, she was united in marriage to Jerry Durham in Marquette, Michigan.  Mr. Durham survives of their residence in Dexter.

Besides her husband and father, she is survived by one son, Jacob Durham of Haughton, Louisiana; by two daughters, Kayla Renee Durham of Bloomfield and Ericka Wolf of Haughton, Louisiana; by five grandchildren, Jared Wolf, Kirklan Partain, Jocelyne Partain, Levi Seyer and Jackson Durham; by two brothers, Keith Milligan of Italy, Texas and Paul Wojdyla of McKeesport, Pennsylvania and by three sisters, Kelly Wojdyla of Brooksville, Florida, Sherry Gricar of Washington, Pennsylvania and Kim Gaurus of Port Vue, Pennsylvania.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. James Malloy officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

In Memory of Charlene Spears

Charlene Spears was born on May 17, 1948 in Parkin, Arkansas to the late Lee Burgess, Sr. & Dorothy Wingo Burgess. She departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at her residence in New Madrid, Missouri at the age of 68 years 8 months and 4 days.

Charlene Spears did in home health care for VNA. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Spears on July 4, 2002 in Campbell, Missouri. He survives of the home in New Madrid.

Her other survivors include three sons, Scott Perkins & wife, Lisa of Campbell, Jeff Perkins & wife, Stephanie of Malden and Kevin Perkins of Clarkton and two daughters, Elizabeth Spears & husband, Justin of White Oak and Brooke Spears of Gideon. Also eight grandchildren and four sisters along with several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Lee Burgess, Jr.

Landess Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Tyler Carl Dye was born on September 19, 1991 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Randy Carl Dye & Tammy Ranae Bender Dye. He departed this life on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his residence at the age of 25 years 4 months and 3 days.

Tyler Carl Dye was of the Baptist Faith.

His survivors include: Parents: Randy & Tammy Dye of Doniphan, Missouri. Grandfather: Ron Dye of Malden. Grandmother: Louise Dye & husband, Ricky of Kennett. Sister: Tiffany Vanwinkle of Doniphan, Missouri and Nephew: Lucas Vanwinkle of Doniphan, Missouri.
 
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother: Shirley Dye and Grandfather: Fenton Bender.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Chapel from 1-2 P.M.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Larry Earl officiating.

Interment will be in the Bernie Cemetery, Bernie Missouri.

In Memory of Betty Sue Arnold

Betty Sue Arnold, daughter of the late John Hoover and Bee Thompson Hoover, was born on July 18, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and passed away on January 22, 2017 at her residence in Bell City, Missouri at the age of 72.

Mrs. Arnold was a former certified nurse assistant and was a resident of Bell City.

She was united in marriage to Robert Arnold on September 17, 1960 in Perkins, Missouri.  Mr. Arnold survives of the home in Bell City.

Survivors besides her husband include two sons, Athel John Arnold and Joseph Lauren Arnold, both of Bell City; one daughter, Bobbi Sue Howard of Scott City;  one brother, James Hoover of Bell City; fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Arnold.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
