Arthur Wayne Hutchcraft

Arthur Wayne Hutchcraft

Arthur Wayne Hutchcraft, son of the late Arthur Oren Hutchcraft and Flossie Bean Hutchcraft, was born on April 30, 1932 in Dexter and departed this life on May 2, 2016 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 84. 

Mr. Hutchcraft attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter.  He had worked as a salesman for Medler-Davis Chevrolet in Dexter and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

On December 30, 1952, he was united in marriage to Connie Wilkey in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mrs. Hutchcraft survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael Hutchcraft and wife Lynn of Kuttawa, Kentucky, Tim Hutchcraft and wife Sandy of Dexter, Missouri and Jim Hutchcraft and wife Dena of Puxico, Missouri; by one brother, Robert C. Hutchcraft of Shawnee, Oklahoma; by one sister, Mary Butler of Killeen, Texas and by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Duke Hutchcraft and Sessel Hutchcraft; and by one sister, Ruth Redman.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Greg McGhee officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Harry Vaughn Obituary

Harry Vaughn of Aldrich, Missouri, son of the late Herman H. and Ora DeJournett Hunsaker, was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on February 26, 1945, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on May 2, 2016, at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 6 days.

Harry had been raised in the Essex and Grayridge area, had lived for many years in the Springfield, Missouri area and in Aldrich, Missouri the past five years. He had worked as a truck driver for 35 years and retired from Paul Mueller Co. in Springfield.

Surviving are many Vaughn, Hubbard and Hunsaker cousins. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment to follow at the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Billy Joe Pry Obituary

Billy Joe Pry, son of the late Allen Pry and Edith May South Pry, was born on March 12, 1946 in Hayti, Missouri and departed this life on April 29, 2016 at his residence in Bloomfield at the age of 70. 

Mr. Pry attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.  He worked as a supervisor for Walker Construction Company of Dexter, was the former Police Chief of Bloomfield and a veteran of the United States Army. 

He is survived by two daughters, Amy Fleming of Benton, Missouri and Simone Pry of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one brother, Jimmy Gallion of Donnelson, Illinois; by three sisters, June Cooley of Fairmont, Illinois, Lula Johnson of Sauget, Illinois and Janie Pry of Ohio; and by three grandchildren, Makayla Fleming, Rebecca Fleming and Marissa Jo Fleming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy Gallion, Brooksie Gallion and Johnny Gallion.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 

A memorial service will follow in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 7:00 P.M. 

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. David Wilson officiating.

Thelma Lee Husted, daughter of the late George Harrison and Bessie Myrtle Wakefield White, was born in Senath, Missouri on March 31, 1922, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on April 29, 2016, at the age of 94 years and 29 days.

Thelma had lived most of her life in Parma, Missouri. She was a member of the Parma United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women.

On April 8, 1962, she married Dr. George W. Husted, M.D. in Parma, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1971.

Surviving are one son, George "Gerry" Husted of Parma, Missouri; four grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dolly Leigh; four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call after 11:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri with Rev. Roy Sherfield of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Parma, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.

Carol Francis Stubbs Obituary

Carol Francis Stubbs, daughter of the late Leslie Francis and Mildred Owen Francis, was born on July 12, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 24, 2016 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 78.

Mrs. Stubbs had worked as a college instructor, and had taught Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church in Caruthersville, Missouri.

On November 27, 1982, she was united in marriage to Rickey Stubbs in Campbell.  Mr. Stubbs survives of their residence in Dexter.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son Craig McDaniel of Dallas, Texas; by one daughter, Dena Schmidt and her husband Andrew of Memphis, Tennessee; by one brother, Lloyd Francis of Ukiah, California; by one sister, Betty Scalf of Kingston, Tennessee; by two grandsons, Jason Gentry and Kevin Gentry; and by three great-grandsons, Thomas Gentry, Chase Gentry and Tanner Gentry.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack Francis, Dale Francis, Bob Francis, Bill Francis and Jerry Francis; and by one sister, Eileen Francis.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the Stoddard County ARC, P.O. Box 444, Dexter, Missouri 63841
