Delcie Rosabell Hector Waltrip Obituary

Delcie Rosabell Hector Waltrip, daughter of the late Richard Gipson and Carrie Norman Gipson, was born on February 3, 1929 in Mississippi County, Arkansas and departed this life on December 30, 2015 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 86.

Mrs. Waltrip was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ.  She had worked at Gossard Manufacturing in Malden and Elders Manufacturing in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.

On November 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Samuel H. Hector.  Mr. Hector preceded her in death in 2007.  She was then married to Charles Waltrip in 1981.  Mr. Waltrip preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Samuel Hector and wife Sherry of Dexter, Missouri, Ricky Hector of Wappapello, Missouri and Randy Hector and wife Neva of Malden, Missouri; by one daughter, Charlotte Yvonne Morris and friend Mike of Dexter; by one brother, David Gipson of Highland, California; by three sisters, Oma Fowler of Jackson, Missouri, Nina Stewart of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Dorothy Duba of Jonesboro, Arkansas; by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Hickson and Marion Gipson; and by one sister, Louise Owens.

 Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:30 with Clyde Jacques officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
