Betty Jean Myers, daughter of the late William Ray Silliman and Agnes Harris Silliman was born on May 21, 1927 in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on September 20, 2015 at her residence in Arnold, Missouri at the age of 88.

Mrs. Myers had worked at Bussman Fuse Company and later in life at Wal-Mart.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

On June 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to John A. Myers in Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Myers preceded her in death on October 7, 1991.

She is survived by one son, Larry Gene Myers of St. Louis County, Missouri; by one daughter, Brenda Garren of Arnold, Missouri; by one sister, Verttle Lee Adams of Dexter; by one half-sister, Peggy Bollinger of Dexter; by one sister in law, Violet Silliman of Dexter and by three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Silliman.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 NOON. 

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 NOON in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Preston Owens officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
