
Mildred Marie Mekan, daughter of the late Tom Arnold and Katie Spicer Arnold was born in Herrin, Illinois on June 29, 1917 and departed this life in Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 12, 2015 at the age of 98.
Mrs. Mekan was a homemaker, a member of Powe Gospel Church of Bernie and also a resident of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Lawrence Albert Mekan in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on December 4, 1933. Mr. Mekan preceded his wife in death on December 6, 1987.
Survivors include four sons, Gene Mekan of Bernie, Missouri, David Mekan of Winona, Missouri, Tom Mekan of Temple City, California and Ivan Mekan of Bernie, Missouri: by two daughters, Violetta Mastilovich of St. Louis, Missouri and Carolyn Mekan of Bernie, Missouri; by 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by one son, Bill Mekan; by four daughters, Frances Mekan, Ava Armes, Launita McNeal and Margaret Parks; also by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie on Wednesday July 15, 2015 starting at 2:00 P.M.
Rev. Don Wells officiating.
Interment will follow in Dexter Cemetery.

He had lived in the Desloge and Bonne Terre area before moving to Dexter a year ago.
Surviving are two sons, Alvin Wayne Cluck of Parma, Justin Cluck of Bloomfield; three daughters, Teresa Patterson and Deborah Prier both of Farmington, Paige Fuqua-Donner of Puxico; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one brother, Dallas Cluck, Jr. of BonneTerre, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Odell Cluck and one brother, Jerry Cluck.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Erma Adele Dowdy, daughter of the late Hobert Hagy and Effie Giles Hagy, was born on September 2, 1923 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on July 8, 2015 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 91.
Mrs. Dowdy had attended the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter. She worked as a registered nurse and was a resident of Dexter.
On July 6, 1940, she was united in marriage to Wellman Dale Dowdy in Bloomfield. Mr. Dowdy preceded her in death on June 22, 1986.
She is survived by one son, Ray Dowdy and his wife Brenda of Dexter; by one brother, Lloyd Hagy of California; by two sisters, Vivian Pruitt of Edinburg, Texas and Melba Miller of Dexter; by two granddaughters, Geren Long and her husband Jason and Kaylan Dockins and her husband Dickie; and by six great-grandchildren, Carly Marie Long, Sadie Grace Long, Liza Rae Dockins, Lydia Kate Dockins, Max Dockins and Case Wellman Dockins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Estelle Dowdy and by one brother, Clyde Hagy.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery in Dexter with Rev. George Nite officiating. Interment will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

He was born Oct. 8, 1998, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of Shane Engram and Misty Allred.
Austin was a student at Advance High School, where he would have been a junior in August.
He loved his brothers and sisters. He loved to hunt, fish and ride any kind of ATV. He was a very hard worker, thoughtful, kind and always ready to help. He was a special boy.
Survivors include his parents, Shane and Angela Engram of Advance; two brothers, Luke and Wes Shelby of Advance; two sisters, Julia and Johlie Engram of Advance; a nephew, Jaxen Shelby of Advance; grandparents, Sandra Engram of Advance and Mike and Vickie Schrader of Arab, Missouri; great-grandparents, Jack and Marvene Engram of Oran, Missouri, and Ileen Everett of Butler, Missouri; his mother, Misty Long of Poplar Bluff; a half brother, Trenton Alford; three half sisters, Alexis Allred, Britney Long and Madison Rogers; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Brad Engram, and great-grandfather, Richard Everett.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday on the family farm near Advance.

Mike Foushee, son of Cristola Foushee of Bloomfield, Missouri and the late Clarence James Foushee was born on July 11, 1950 in Gideon, Missouri and departed this life on July 5, 2015 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 64 years.
Mr. Foushee was a former mechanic for Allen Christian Buick, Bud Shell Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer, and a former supervisor at Tyson Food. Mike was of the Baptist Faith and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include one son, Michael Foushee of Bloomfield and other relatives and many friends.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Kay.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday July 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dexter Cemetery.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
