Scott Kinchen

Scott Kinchen, son of the late Lonnie Lee Kinchen and Jean (Branum) Kinchen, was born Nov. 7, 1954, and died on June 6, 2015, at the age of 60.

He was an active member of the Dexter Chamber of Commerce and served as a Chamber director until his health forced him to resign in 2014.  He served as Chamber President in 1993 and continued to be an active supporter throughout the years.

He was an alumni of Pi Kappa Alpha, also served on the Boy Scout's Council for many years and was a valued member of the Dexter Kiwanis Club, having served in a number of capacities in that organization as well, including in the president's role.

He was also a member of Dexter's First United Methodist Church where his background in finance was put to use as a member of the church's Finance Commitee.

 

Kinchen spent a 38-year career at US Bank, ending his career as bank president at the local branch.


Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Lee Kinchen of Dexter, Mo. and Claire Louise Kinchen of Austin, Texas; one brother: Steven Wayne Kinchen of Hornersville, Mo.; one sister, Sarah Burdin and husband, David of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

 

Other relatives and many friends also survive.

 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Mo.

 

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Dr. Barry Winders officiating.

 

Memorials may be made to the Kiwanis Club Attn: Allen Walker P.O. Box 456 Dexter, MO. 63841.

 

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Mo. will be in charge of the arrangements.

Robert George Turner
Robert George Turner, son of the late Charles and Lillian Rogers Turner, was born in Detriot, Michigan, on December 11, 1927, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Dexter, Missouri on June 8, 2015, at the age 87 of years.

He spent his early career of 20 years with the U. S. Navy where he was a Chief Petty Officer. He later worked in Maintenance at a hospital in Illinois. He moved to Dexter in 1989 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.

On March 10, 1956 he married to Betty Briscoe in Waukegan, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Turner of Dexter; one son & wife, William "Bill" Turner & Judy of Dexter; one daughter, Sharon Lewis of Bloomfield; one daughter in law, Marleen Turner of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Turner.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 11, 2015 after 11.00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri.

Graveside services will be Thursday June 11, 2015 at 1.00 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Dr. Barry Winders of Dexter officiating.


Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Carol Lee Lamunion

Carol Lee Lamunion, daughter of the late James Garfield Trent and Dolly Pool Trent, was born on February 17, 1942 in Patterson, Missouri and departed this life on June 5, 2015 at Willowcreek Rehab and Care Center in Belleville, Illinois at the age of 73.

Mrs. Lamunion was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Essex.  She was a homemaker and a former resident of Dexter.  She enjoyed helping with Awana Children and Youth Ministry.

She is survived by one son, John Trent of Dexter; by one daughter, Tammy Higgs of Malden; by two brothers, James Trent of Troy, Missouri and Charles D. Trent of Australia; by two sisters, Clara Allen of St. Peters, Missouri and Marie Boocheck of Bon Terre, Missouri; by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lowery and Alberta Nolting.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. 

A memorial service will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

James Gregory O'Neal

James Gregory O’Neal, son of Loreda O’Neal Janson of Dexter was born on September 29, 1968 at Dexter and departed this life at SoutheastHEALTH of Cape Girardeau on June 5, 2015 at the age of 46.

James was a carpenter with Rayle Construction of Poplar Bluff and a resident of Dexter.

He is survived by his mother, Loreda Janson of Dexter: by two brothers, Jeff Janson (Cary Cobb) of Malden and Michael Janson of Bell City: by two sisters, Deanna Seybold (Stephen) of Cunningham, Tennessee and Christina Janson (Stephen Boyer) of Dexter.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery.

James Lee Warren

James Lee Warren, son of Euell Lee Warren and the late Leah Mae Almond Robertson, was born on March 28, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on June 3, 2015 at the age of 59.

Mr. Warren worked as a welder and was a resident of Bloomfield.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by two daughters, Jodi Fortner and her husband David and Lacey Warren, both of Dexter; by two brothers, Ronnie Warren and his wife Candace of Puxico and Keith Robertson of Bloomfield; and by two grandchildren, Kamdyn Fortner and Taryn Fortner.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
