
Richard Hart, son of Ora Calvin Hart of Advance, Missouri and the late Amos Hart, was born on February 4, 1940 in Catron, Missouri and departed this life on September 18, 2014 at his residence in Essex, Missouri at the age of 74.
Mr. Hart was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a Safety Engineer for Oxidental Petroleum for thirty-three years and as a Environmental Engineer for the Dexter Hospital for nine years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the HM3 Medical Corp. He was a member of the American Legion Post 382 in Bloomfield, Missouri and a 10-year member of the Stoddard County Honor Guard.
On September 14, 1996, he was united in marriage to Sharon Kaye Hart in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Hart survives of the home.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Michael Hart and his wife Carie of Lakewood, California; by two stepsons, Keith Duffie and his wife Nancy of Candler, North Carolina and Kevin Duffie of Clarksville, Tennessee; by one stepdaughter, Tammy Johnson and her husband Paul of Hull, Massachussetts; by three brothers, Harold Hart and his wife Vivian of Bell City, Missouri, Mitchell Hart and his wife Mary of Advance, Missouri and Butch Hart and his wife Sharon of Advance, Missouri; and by eight grandchildren, Heith, Logan, Devin, Ethan, Styles, Danielle, Andreus and Gunnar.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Hart.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with M.A. Hart and Jack Gilles officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full Military Honors.
