Eunice Irene Pullum Hendrickson
Eunice Irene (Pullum) Hendrickson of Dexter, daughter of the late Andrew "Bud" and Goldie Eunez Lashley Pullum, was born in Essex, Missouri on January 14, 1947, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 19, 2014, at the age of 67 years, 7  months and 5 days.

She had lived in Essex, Missouri for many years and had lived in Dexter the past several years. She had worked as an in home health care worker.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Kevin Pullum of Bloomfield, Missouri, David Wessley Rodgers of Los Angeles, California; two daughters, Barbara Morgan and Misty McGregor both of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Herman Pullum of Bloomfield; two sisters, Marilyn Southerland of Moscow Mills, Missouri and Frances Hester of Bloomfield, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may visit Thursday, August 21, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Tim Russell of Dexter officiating.

Interment with be in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Michael Thomas Hawkins

Michael Thomas “Tee” Hawkins, son of the late Milton Thomas Hawkins and Rubye Janet Curnell Hawkins, was born on January 23, 1960 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on August 18, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 54.

Mr. Hawkins attended Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter.  He worked as a general contractor for David Russell, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sikeston and was a resident of Blodgett, Missouri.

He is survived by three daughters, Michele Hawkins, Rebeka Hawkins Easley and Audrina Rubye-Jane Hawkins; by five brothers, Scott Hawkins, Jerry Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins and Troy Estes, III; by six sisters, Roxanne Johnson, Leslie Barrett, Kathy Dunnaway, Semona Penrod, Marla Stephenson and Marcella Honey; and by three grandchildren, Cooper Hatley, Carter Greer and Jaxson Easley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Hawkins.

Friends may call at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted at the Lighthouse Christian Center on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. 


Arrangements are being handled by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter.

Onieta Kinney McGhee

Onieta Kinney McGhee, daughter of the late William Green Kinney and Martha Kruse Kinney was born on August 17, 1920 at Dexter and departed this life in the SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County in Dexter on August 16, 2014 at the age of 93.

Mrs. McGhee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter and she was a teacher in the Dexter Public School System for 43 years.  She was a graduate of Arkansas State University and was the recipient of two graduate degrees from Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was a fifty-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter  #311 and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.

She was united in marriage to Paul McGhee on June 9, 1973 at Dexter.  He survives of the home.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two step-sons, Stuart (Donna) McGhee of Wildwood and David McGhee of Deltona, Florida; and by one step-daughter, Laura McGhee and her husband Kelly Greer of Lockport, Illinois.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Kinney and by one brother, Lincoln Kinney.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., Monday, August 18, 2014. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2014, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rich Lee officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mark Ray Allen of Clever, Missouri, the son of Bernice King Allen and the late Hale Allen, was born on March 11, 1950, in Paris, Illinois, and passed away at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri on August 14, 2014, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 3 days.

Mr. Allen had lived in Clever, Missouri near Springfield. Mr. Allen attended college at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville Arkansas, where he studied engineering.  He then attended a culinary arts school in Louisiana. He had been a farmer, a golf course manager and ran the bar and restaurant at the club house his father owned, and has been in the restaurant business since 1996.

Surviving are his mother, Bernice Allen of Russellville, Missouri; two daughters, Chrissy & Eric Welch of Greenfield, Missouri, Cheri Allen of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Matthew Allen and Nathan Allen, both of Clever, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dalton Welch, Collin Allen and Blade Welch: as well as by his aunt Gale King, Uncle Mike and Aunt Jane Allen, Aunt Carrie and Uncle John Newman, Aunt Midge Sandage and Uncle Don King; his ex-wife and closest friend Tammy Harp; and numerous cousins and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hale Allen; his maternal grandparents, Gail & Hazel King; his paternal grandparents, Martin Ellsworth and Virgie Allen; his uncles, Gail King, Denny King and Bill King.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 16, 2014, after 1:00 p.m. at the Brown General Baptist Church near Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Brown General Baptist Church near Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico officiating.

Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Oliver Hagy
Oliver "Ollie" Hagy, the son of the late Carl Freeman and Dora Irene McFarlen Hagy, was born in Neelyville, Missouri on April 29, 1943, and passed away at his home in Fisk, Missouri on August 13, 2014, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 15 days.

Mr. Hagy had lived in Michigan, California & Cahokia, Illinois before moving to Dudley. In 2010 he moved to Fisk, Missouri. He had worked as a machine operator with Cerro Copper. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

On May 11, 1991, he was married to Jacqueline "Jackie" Williamson in Dudley, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2007. He later married Thelma Kelly and she preceded him in death on April 13, 2009.

Surviving are two sons & daughter in law, Ricky & Kathy Hagy of Dexter, Dwayne Hagy of Granite City, Illinois; three grandchildren, Ricky Lee Hagy, Jr., Charles Ray Hagy, Jr., Brittany Nicole Hagy; one great grandson, Aiden Michael Hagy; four brothers, Carol Hagy of Dexter, Harold Hagy of St. Charles, Missouri, Cecil Hagy of Michigan, and Vernon Hagy of Memphis, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Ray Hagy; four sisters, Annabelle Border, Alta Faye Denny, Faye Williamson, Edith Hagy; and three brothers, Archie, Roy and Paul Hagy.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 16, 2014, after 11:30 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
