He had lived in Dexter the last 53 years, he worked for the City Of Dexter as Park Matience. He attended the Friendship Baptist Church of Dexter, Missouri.
On May 17, 1961, he was married to Doris Faye Butler in Stoddard County, Missouri.
Surviving are, his wife, Doris Ellis of Dexter, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Ronnie & Tracyee Ellis of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters and sons in law Bonnie & Steven Smith of Dexter, Missouri, and Lesa Lafferty of Dexter, Missouri, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one son in law, Aaron Grobe of Dexter; two brothers Billy Ellis of Morehouse, Missouri & Edwin Ellis of Parma, Missouri, two sisters Norma Hoskins of Morehouse, Missouri and Margaret Baker of Dexter, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Ellis, and one sister, Daisy Breece, and one daughter Connie Grobe.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dale Holman of Advance, Missouri.

She had lived in the Sikeston area for many years before moving to Nicholasville, Kentucky in 1996. She was of the Baptist faith.
On July 19, 1926, she was married to William "Bill" Fauller in New Madrid County, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Nola Gipson of Sun City West, Arizona, Delberta Minner of High Ridge, Missouri; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; and eighteen great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Fauller, one daughter, Betty Fauller, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.

Eula Faye Baca, daughter of the late Samuel Jasper and Esta Ruth Jones Harmon, was born in Manilla, Arkansas on October 27, 1933, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 14, 2014, at the age of 80 years.
Mrs. Baca had lived in Lubbock, Texas, where she was a dietary manager for a nursing home, she moved to Bloomfield in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
On June 13, 1981, she was married to Claudio H. Baca in Lubbock, Texas.
Surviving are her husband, Claudio H. Baca of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Ruth Strickland of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son, Larry Harmon of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Larmie, Jenny and Kathy; four sisters, Vera, Zerah, Glowesta and Josephine; and two brothers, Denver and Jasper.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield with Steve Morrison of Bloomfield officiating.

Alan Douglas “Doug” Zunkel died peacefully with family by his side on April 9, 2014 in his Vancouver home. His life is celebrated by family, friends, and colleagues around the country and the world.
Doug was born on May 3, 1941 in Bethany, Missouri as the eldest son of Kenneth and Ezma Zunkel. Doug grew up in Princeton, Illinois with his younger brother, David, and was a standout student and athlete.
He was the salutatorian of his class and the captain of the football team. He also attained the rank of Eagle Scout. After Doug graduated from Princeton High School, he went west to attend the Colorado School of Mines. During college, Doug was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and served the chapter proudly as President. He graduated from the Missouri School of Mines in 1964 with a bachelor’s of science degree in metallurgical engineering.
Doug returned to the Colorado School of Mines in 1964 and earned his master’s degree and his doctor of science degree in 1967. Doug was a United States Army veteran, serving honorably from 1967 to 1969. In the Army, Doug attained the rank of Captain and worked on NASA’s Apollo lunar module. After his tenure in the Army, Doug began a long and illustrious career in the precious metals industry.
Described by his granddaughter Bonnie as the smartest man she knew, Doug worked for and consulted for Fortune 500 companies, including Exxon, and many prestigious law firms around the country.
Doug was a highly sought after precious metals expert who loved his work. He established A.D. Zunkel Consultants, Inc. in 1986 and worked up until the week of his passing. Doug belonged to numerous technical and professional societies, including the Society of Mining Engineers, the Metallurgical Society, and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He served as a trustee of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers from 1987 to 1988 and was the President of the Metallurgical Society in 1987. Doug generously established the John P. Hager Undergraduate Scholarship Fund at the Colorado School of Mines to support students in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
Doug was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan, a golf enthusiast, a world traveler, a tremendous chef, and an expert on the genealogy of the Zunkel family. He was also a life member of the Philatelist Society.
Doug is survived by his loving wife Olivia Ann, his daughter Lea Ann, his son Ken, his brother David, his granddaughter Bonnie, his niece Erica, and his nephew Mark. He has reunited with his beloved father-in-law, George “Pop” Baker, in heaven.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Monday April 14, 2014 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.

Lester Leo James, son of the late Eugene James and Florence Nelson James was born in Parma, Missouri on December 29, 1928 and departed this life at Golden Living Center in Malden, Missouri on April 11, 2014 at the age of 85.
Mr. James had worked for Federal Mogul, Malden, Missouri, had attended Bernie General Baptist Church and was a resident of Bernie.He was united in marriage to Beulah Marie Lunsford in Piggott, Arkansas on March 13, 1950. Mrs. James survives in their home in Bernie.
Other survivors include two sons, Danny James & wife Jayne of Dexter, Missouri and Leroy James & wife Ange of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by three daughters, Beverly Dockins of Bernie, Missouri, Debbie Jones of Jefferson City, Missouri and Allison Williams & husband Stephen Wayne of Bernie, Missouri; by one brother, Leon James of Heber Springs, Arkansas; by 19 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by four brothers, Clarence Edward James, Delmar James, Harold Richardson James, Everett Eugene James; by two sisters, Grace Creasy and Maggie Jines.
