
He was a lifelong resident of Southeast Missouri and had lived in the Malden area for many years. He had worked as a river boat pilot and retired in 2013. He was a Master of Western Rivers, Great Lakes, and Inland Waterways with TWIC. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Malden, the Masonic Lodge #108 and the United Steel Workers Union.
On June 7, 2007, he was married to Donna DeLaney in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Reeves of New Madrid, Missouri; one daughter, Deidre Marie DeLaney of Lilbourn, Missouri; twin granddaughters, Brenna Danielle Hornburg and Claira Marie Hornburg; three brothers and spouses, Roger & Betty Reeves of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Rockie & Beverly Reeves and Raymond & Lisa Reeves all of Malden, Missouri; four sisters & spouses, Lenora Barnett of Cabot, Arkansas, Doris Parks of Dulac, Louisana, Brenda & Sterling Adams of Schriever, Louisiana and Janet & Craig Morris of Malden, Missouri.
Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Darrell Reeves, Jr., his mother-in-law, Nadine Cokenour, two brothers, Jesse Reeves, Jr., James David Reeves, and three sisters, Janice Faye Reeves, Nancy Wagner and Naomi Michelle Reeves.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.

He had lived in the Dexter area most of his life. He had worked as a pipe layer on an oil rig and in landscaping until his health forced his retirement.
Surviving are his companion of 18 years, Penny Akin of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Mark Akin of Dexter, Michael Akin of Oran; one daughter, Angela Charles of Bernie; numerous grandchildren; five brothers, Edward Lusk of Boonville, Danny Lusk of Cape Girardeau, Billy Lusk of Dexter, Rick McIrvin of Poplar Bluff, James McIrvin of Neelyville; four sisters, Brenda Cossey and Margaret Hopkins both of Bloomfield, Tina Jones of Reno, Nevada and Sherry Leathers of Dexter.
Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Dewey Dean Lusk; one sister, Mary Ellen Stewart; and one brother, Lee W. Lusk.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Lurlyne Myers, daughter of the late Reed Hardy and Pauline Patterson Hardy, was born on January 14, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas and departed this life on February 17, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 72.
Mrs. Myers was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and the Broadwater Church of the Brethren. She had studied history in Europe in 1959, worked as a teacher and had taught school in Dexter and Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and ADK, was a former resident of Dexter and was living at Wappapello.
On December 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Grover “Gene” Myers in Dexter. Mr. Myers preceded her in death on August 15, 2013.
She is survived by two sons, John Thomas Myers of Marion, Arkansas and James Riley Myers of Poplar Bluff; by one daughter and son-in-law, Libby Myers Gall and husband Jeff of West Plains, Missouri; by one sister, Reeda Hampton of Marion, Arkansas; and by five grandchildren, Mary Katherine Myers, Ian Thomas Myers, Dylan Ray Myers, Lane Eugene Gall and Luke Eli Gall.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Brother Harold Gass officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Stoddard County Relay for Life, 515 G West Market Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841.

Other relatives and friends also survive.

Barbara Wilmoth, daughter of the late Clarence and Imogene Hooks Rieffer, was born in Essex, Missouri, on September 5, 1942 and passed away at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri on February 14, 2014 at the age of 71 years. She grew up in Essex, Missouri area, before moving to Pontiac, Michigan, in 1962 where she worked for General Motors until her retirement in 1994. She then moved back to Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving is one son Vance Wilmoth, of Lake Orion, Michigan, one brother Henry Rieffer, of Bloomfield, Missouri, and one grandson Vance Jr. of Lake Orion, Michigan. Other relatives and friends also survive. Her parents, and one sister Judy George preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
