Kenneth R. Green
Kenneth R. Green, son of the late John Harvey and Mabel Fay Darr Green, was born in Bloomfield on July 9, 1935, and passed away at his daughter's home, with his family by his side, in Alton, Illinois on December 9, 2013, at the age of 78 years.

He was raised in the Bloomfield community, he moved to Bethalto, Illinois where he worked and raised his family, he retired as a machinist from Nixdorff Chain and moved to Dudley, Missouri. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

He was married to Betty Jo Crossfield in Dupo, Illinois on November 23, 1957, she preceded him in death on May 30, 2010.

Surviving are four sons, John L. Green of Brighton, Illinois, Rick Green of Dudley, Kenneth Green of Hartford, Illinois, Eric Green of East Alton, Illinois; four daughters, Vicki Dickinson and Kathy Green both of Alton, Illinois, Dawn Unterbrink of Bethalto, Illinois, Debbie Bolt of Clarksville, Tennessee; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce Fleetwood of Henderson, Nevada, Shelby Monroe of Bloomfield, Judy DeMarsh of Cape Girardeau; Lois Holden of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by three children, Rosetta Olsen, Paula Green, and Gary Green; one grandson, Kenneth William Tolbert, one great grandson, Trey Richards, one sister, Doris Thomas and one brother, James L. Green.

Friends may visit on Friday, December 13, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Burial in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Susan Kay Woodard
Susan Kay Woodard, daughter of Paul Wayne Woodard, Sr. and Joyce Wanda Layton Woodard Hall, was born in Dexter, Missouri on June 1, 1973, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on December 8, 2013, at the age of 40 years, 6 months and 7 days.

She had lived in Essex most of her life and had lived in Dexter the past year. She had worked as a cashier and was affiliated with the Pentacostal Church.

Surviving are one son, Hunter Hare of Dexter, Missouri; her mother, Joyce Hall of Essex, Missouri; her father, Paul Wayne Woodard, Sr. of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers, Paul Wayne Woodard, Jr. of Junction City, Kansas, Douglas Grazitt of Dexter, Missouri; three sisters, Rebecca Kelley of Benton, Missouri, Marsha D. Woodard and Donna Jean Poe both of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Charles Woodard of Advance, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Links Chapel near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Joe Ellis Johnson
Joe Ellis Johnson, son of the late Clarence Eillis and Opel Dora Hollis Johnson, was born on August 6, 1943, in Keiser, Arkansas and passed away at his residence in Parma on December 6, 2013, at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 0 days.

He had lived in St. Louis following his discharge from the United States Army in 1969.  He had lived in the Parma area for the last 20 years.  He was a Christian and was baptized at the Camel General Baptist Church where he attended church.  He loved to be outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running with his dogs.  He also loved his family and was affectionately known as "Papa Joe" to the whole family.

On November 9, 1995 he married Debra Renea Flowers in Piggott, Arkansas. She survives in the home.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Flowers of Parma; five sons, Michael Johnson of Greenville, Missouri, Bobby Johnson and Chris Johnson both of Dexter, Missouri, Nathan Graves of Rockford, Illinois, and Brandon Graves of Olathe, Kansas; one daughter, Kathryn Moore of Puxico, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Moore and Casey Moore both of Puxico, Missouri, and Riley and Madison Graves both of Rockford, Illinois; one sister, Betty Nowell of Mt. Olive, Illinois; and one brother, Robert Johnson of Osceola, Arkansas.  Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Sutton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Marvin Smith, son of the late Charles Artimus and Ivy Thomas Smith, was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on October 2, 1944, and passed away at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 6, 2013, at the age of 69 years.

He had lived in Sedona, Arizona before moving to Dexter 12 years ago.  He had worked for Quest Telephone Company.

On August 20, 1970, he was married to Gay Cheryl Ann Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She survives in the home.

Surviving are his wife, Gay Cheryl Ann Smith of Dexter; one son, Joshua Gold of Dexter and two grandchildren.  Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter  with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Albert Lee Mace, Sr.
Albert Lee Mace, Sr., son of the late Austin William and Cozetta Layton Mace, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on April 21, 1945, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Poplar Bluff, Missouri on December 5, 2013, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 14 days.
He had lived in the Puxico area all of is life. He worked as a farm hand and was of Baptist faith.

On June 24, 1965,  he was married to Shirley Jean Huff in Bloomfield, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on January 4, 2010.

Surviving are; one son, Albert Mace Jr., of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter, Shirley Morgan of Doniphan, Missouri; four  grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Mace of Bloomfield, Missouri and one sister, Jammie Daniels of Dexter, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive.  He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in the Puxico City Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
