Ann Mallory


Ann Mallory, daughter of the late Exkil & Theresa Robinson Jensen, was born on January 5, 1923, in Brayton, Iowa and passed away at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter on July 14, 2013, at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 9 days.

She had lived the past 70 years in Dexter. She was a member of the Living Waters Worship Center in Bloomfield, Missouri. She had worked at the Dexter Hospital for 33 years as the Environmental Supervisor.

On February 28, 1974, she was married to Mac Mallory in Dexter, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Mac Mallory of Dexter; three sons, Howard Gosnell of Nevada, Missouri, Terry Mallory of Nashville, Tennessee, Jeff Mallory of Winchester, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Jenson of Sikeston. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Candice Ann Selleck; three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Waters Worship Center in Bloomfield with the Rev. James Hook of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Marvin Leroy Gilbee

Marvin Leroy Gilbee, son of the late Cleo and Edna Gilbee, was born on May 14, 1941, in McDougar, Arkansas and lost his battle to cancer at his home in Overland, Missouri July 13, 2013, at the age of 72 years.

He was married to Mary Goad.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Gilbee of Overland; one daughter and husband, Tonya & John Charlton of Overland; three sons and wife, David Goad and Terry Goad both of Overland, Mark & Sherry Goad of Union, Missouri; one brother and wife, Odis & Norma Gilbee of Marmaduke, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death his sister, Adavee Pillows.

Friends may visit on Tuesday July 16, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Tom Terry

Tommy Bennett Terry, son of the late James Everett Terry and Ora B. Jaques Terry was born October 17, 1936 in Kennett and died July 8 at the age of 76 years.


On August 25, 1964 he married Helen Jones in Kennett. She preceded him in death.


Tommy served in the U.S. Army. He was the second-oldest living member of the American Mountain Men Association.

 

He was also a lifetime member of Crowley's Ridge Black Powder Club of Dexter, Missouri, Civil War Group, Rats in the Corn 1840’s Woodswalk Member, and assisted Jim DeReign with the 1840 Explorer Club, which is part of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

He is survived by three daughters, Michele Jones (Sid) of Kennett, Janet Brodrick (Lendal) of Greenway, Ark., and Kay Wormington (Rick) of Holiday; one sister, Nancy Akers of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

 

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.


Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14 at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Pastor Tony Wood and Jim DeReign officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

 

Pallbearers will include: Dale Kemp, Alex Hanners, Keith Martin, Danny Davis, Tom Boner, and Dale Hanners. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff and Helen Lake, David Rodgers, C. G. and Ann Edwards, Larry Crowe, Roy and Lula DeLeprechaur, and Melvin Boyer.

 

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams officiating.

Russell E. Davis, the son of the late John J. and Ruby Sherwood Davis, was born in Grayridge, Missouri on July 15, 1931, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 9, 2013, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 24 days.

He had lived in Grayridge all of his life. He had been a farmer and ran the Grocery Store in Grayridge for many years.

In September of 1973 he was married to Johnnie Scott in Jackson, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Johnnie Davis of Grayridge, Missouri; two sons, Michael E. Davis of Grayridge, Steven Davis of Mississippi; one daughter, Vicki West of Raliegh, North Carolina; three grandsons, Jeffery Davis of Puxico, John Davis of Mississippi, Jeremy Russell Davis of Essex; one granddaughter, Mikalyn Johnna Davis of Essex; one great grandchild; one sister, Joyce Barney of O'Fallon, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Acorn.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday July 11, 2013, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. David Looney of Sikeston, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
