B. J. Edwards

B.J. Edwards, son of Calvin Edwards of Bloomfield, Missouri and Billie Kaye Edwards of Park Hills, Missouri was born on December 6, 1982 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and passed away on January 20, 2013 in Park Hills, Missouri at the age of 30 years.

B.J. served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He received the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon (Iraq), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation-Navy, Rifle Qualification Badge (Expert), and Pistol Qualification badge (Expert). B. J. graduated from Bloomfield High School, was currently a resident of Bonne Terre, Missouri where he was employed by Union Pacific Railroad.

Survivors include father and step-mother; Calvin and Johnna Edwards of Bloomfield, Missouri; by his mother Billie Kaye Edwards of Park Hills, Missouri; by one daughter Kamryn Mae Edwards of Bloomfield, Missouri; by three brothers, Cody Gene Edwards and wife Rachel of Bloomfield, Missouri; Bradley Travis Young of Marion, Illinois; and Johnny White of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sisters, Amanda Mautino and husband John of Lee Summit, Missouri, and Jessica White of Bloomfield, Missouri; also by his grandmothers Louise Toppins of Vulcan, Missouri and Betty Edwards of Bloomfield, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Toppins and Ernest Edwards Jr.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday January 23, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dan Sitze officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full Military Honors.
