J. C. Larsen, son of the late Everett Larsen and Geneva Coburn Larsen, was born on April 15, 1923, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on September 18, 2012, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri.
Mr. Larsen was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Church for sixty-six years where he served as a deacon for sixty-four of those years.On November 17, 1945, he was united in marriage to Jane Worley in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Larsen survives of their home in Dexter.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Jackie Asberry and Becky Agey both of Dexter; by three grandchildren, Chris Asberry of Dexter, Jennifer Gray of Eureka, Missouri, and husband Brian Gray, granddaughter Autumn Turner of Piggott, Arkansas, and by seven great-grandchildren.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Dees, and by one brother, Gene Larsen.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the West Antioch cemetery near Bloomfield.
